*** UPDATE TO EARLIER REVIEW. The touch screen has completely stopped working (installed in June it is now August). This phone has normal use and has not gotten wet. I'm going to have to either replace the touch screen again or get a new phone.For my iPhone 5c. 4 stars because we needed a different screwdriver then the product came with, fortunately my husband had a tiny phillips head screwdriver. The screwdriver in my glasses repair kit was even too big. If we only had the tools this came with we wouldn't have been able to complete the instillation. We also needed tweezers and the product did not come with those. It came with a guitar pick which we did not use but my teenage son is happy because he goes through picks pretty fast. And it came with a paperclip looking thing which we did not use. I guess you could have used these instead of tweezers but the tweezers were easier.We watched a youtube video (by fixez) on how to install this and we did it in less than an hour. The product did not come with any instillation instructions. It was fairly easy to install, just watch out for all of the little screws you need to take out, don't loose them! A good 20 minutes of our time was spent going over the floor with a magnet trying to find a lost screw.The product itself seems to work fine (I will update if it stops working). The screen is a slightly different color than my last one, but it looks good. All in all I'm happy.

Just finished installing and am using it to write this review. Packaging is A+ and came with all the necessary tools and some I didn't need. Front-facing camera, earpiece speaker, and home button aren't included as described, BUT the proximity sensor mount and front-facing camera mount are also not included (but should be) so you'll have to detach them from your original assembly. The metal housing which shields the back of the LCD is also not included so you'll have to transfer that as well. The LCD itself is decent but the colors are warm and muted compared to the OEM part. The glass feels nice and the digitizer seems as responsive as the OEM. Overall, it seems to be a really good value for the price but I wish the colors were a bit better.Update: After a few days, digitizer is a bit wonky as other reviewers have written; it detects fingerprints and smudges as touches. Definitely a bit annoying!

My installation went OK - it took about 2 hours from start to finish.. Most of this time is spent transferring the camera, mic, speaker, metal back plate and proximity sensor from the old display to the new one. The work also requires the use of a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive that holds the transfer parts to the old display. The screws in the iPhone 5 are maddeningly tiny - I needed to magnetize my tiny screw driver to pickup the parts. Tweezers are also a must for this job.Pros: Price, Quality of Screen, Touch sensor worked fine.Cons: No instructions, mostly useless tools, extra time and effort to transfer old parts to new display.

Screen was damaged in 2 places scratched tool kit was OK I have a professional set but this little set is good for beginners. The assembly is not spot on to the original I had to make a small adjustment to it but if I didn't know how to do it, it would not of been usable, 3 stars, despite the scratches and the minor repair I was able to use the display. If you don't know what your doing don't buy this item, it is not as easy to use as the youtube videos appear because it is not an exact match, it is a generic screen. Expect issues. It did work, eventually.

After an iphone accident that left my sons 5C with a busted screen, I decided to fix it for him (as it was his sister who accidentally broke it). I searched for the most reasonably priced replacement and landed on this one. It was an easy replacement. The only things I noticed were the home button doesnt sit still. It spins around in its slot. My son says the screen isnt always responsive. He never had that problem before and its only minor, but sometimes he will throw his pokeball and the screen will glitch and the ball just drops or as he's reading the page wont turn. Again, its a minor grievance and he will deal with it. I've replaced tons on our phones (charge port, power buttons, screens on 5S, batteries, etc) so Im pretty the glitches arent from my installation. But we are overall happy. Its suited our needs and saved his phone.

It's tricky to install, and doesn't come with any instructions at all, but it works very well and includes the tools you'll need, although for a couple particularly tight Philips screws, I had to use a higher quality small screwdriver set that I already had because the screwdriver that came with this kit was too pointed to grab the screw. This screen has some backlight bleeding at the top and bottom that wasn't present on the original screen, but it's a very minor issue.

Low quality digitizer. Worked for a few months, then began erroneously recording the tiny bits of oil from my fingerprints as finger touches. I have to constantly rub the phone on my clothes or microfiber pad to get it to work.The phone is rarely used. Its mounted on a wall and only used as a remote control for a few smart lights. Even on such 'light'-duty, the digitizer fails to function adequately.

After installing the screen, I immediately experienced issues with it, particularly when trying to scroll. The sensitivity was crazy. I looked up these issues online and persons said that sometimes it takes a while for the phone to adjust to the new screen, so I decided to give it a month. Some days were better than others, but for the most part the screen was terrible. I finally got frustrated and decided that I needed the screen replaced because I could not struggle with it any longer. However I missed the last day to return the screen which was yesterday, July 31st. I am hoping that the seller will be able to replace my screen as I spent my money to be sent a screen which has been malfunctioning since day one. It is possible that I just got the bad screen out of a bunch of good ones howeverrrr I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PURCHASE!!
