I’ve always loved toy castles and forts. I still have one featured in this book. Great resource for collectors. What great accurate research was done to produce this wonderful masterpiece!So glad I lived as a boy in an era that played with these, where I had to use my imagination. Kids of today with their electronic gadgets are missing out.I love this book so much I bought two copies, one for an old friend for a Christmas gift who will be equally stunned by it and will no doubt spend countless hours pouring over the contents.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING book. Finally, I can research all the toy castles I encounter. I have already learned so much from it. This book was the"missing link" for toy fort and castle collectors. It was a long time coming, but WELL worth the wait. This is now the definitive work on toy forts and castles.

Superb coverage of a long-neglected field of toy collecting. Well worth the price.

Great book.

This is a well illustrated book, with lots of information, and certainly unique in the field. My main reservation is that there was so much info on some manufacturers, whose products did not seem to vary from each other very much, that I felt some of the toy genre's tremendous visual appeal was not emphasized. Would prefer to see more close ups and stagings. What I'm trying to say is that I was hoping for a book that provided as much aesthetic appeal as it did dates and times of manufacturer; as though the excellent Schiffer Toy Buildings by Patty Cooper had been devoted only to forts and castles. I also have to believe that there exist many other toy castles which were not featured. Specifically I had hoped to find the incredible medieval castle prominently displayed at the old Nashville Toy Museum; I'm sure that was a European product.

An invaluable resource for anyone who has a passion for toy forts. This book provides a comprehensive 'one stop shop' for information and images, which until now has been desperately needed by all from the casual collector to the top auction houses.

Incredible amount of information on this subject- author did an amazing job collecting and putting together all this - well written and heavily illustrated with many beautiful photos
