Aervana Original: 1 Touch Luxury Wine Aerator

My sister was given an Aervana as a gift and used it on a Cab that I knew was going to need to be decanted. She opened the bottle and inserted the Aervana syphon straw into the bottle and secured the top piece on the bottle. The wine was so smooth; the Aervana took all the bitterness out while aerating as it poured wine into the glass. I had to have one!! I ordered one for myself through the smile.amazon.com app on my phone, and it was pretty much waiting for me when I got home. I opened one of the oldest wines in my collection and inserted the Aervana ..... WOW ..... I would have had to decant and let that particular bottle sit before I could drink it. For me, that would not work as I'm the only one in the household who drinks wine, thus the wine would have to sit in the decanter until I could finish it. Not good for the wine. :-( With the Aervana, I can leave it in/on the bottle and pour myself a glass for a couple of days without compromising the taste of the wine.Here's my ONLY complaint. The syphon straw is NOT long enough to get all of the wine in the bottle. Perhaps it's the particular winery bottles I have, which are probably taller than the norm. Either way, I use my Aervana weekly and now don't feel guilty for opening an expensive bottle of wine and not drinking the whole bottle by myself over the course of a couple days. I love it so much, I am purchasing one for my nephew's engagement gift.I know it's not as cheap as some of the other aerators, but to me, it is well worth the price and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great wine experience. It also looks good sitting on my counter!

I got this as a Christmas gift for my parents. They're the kind that are hard to buy for as they seem to have everything they want. They're wine enthusiasts and seem to have every wine accessory around.But not this. When my dad opened it, he had a puzzled look on his face since he had never seen anything like it. Once I explained he put it together (about 5 min to set up) as my mom grabbed a bottle. He put the aerator in and immediately fell in love.It works exactly like the video and really impressed them. Wine comes out quickly and in a small stream, allowing more air to hit it as it travels. They have used it on all but one bottle of wine since Christmas (had to use another manual aerator gift for one to show they used it), and have showed it off to their friends who now plan on getting one themselves.The only suggestions I would have for the manufacturer would be a flexible tubing extension at the bottom. To accommodate different sizes, the tube won't reach all the way down, meaning there's still about a half-glass remaining at the end on a standard bottle. A flexible tubing would allow it to reach the bottom and sit if necessary for smaller bottles.TL;D/R: if you know someone who loves wine and don't mind the price, this is the gift for them, or you.

We really enjoy the Aervana and use it with all of our red wines. It's easy to use and really aerates the wines, providing a better nose and taste to the wines we enjoy. This purchase was a Christmas gift for a wine loving brother-in-law.

It's a little big and clunky as currently designed, but it really does aerate younger red wine that opens up the fruit and depth. For future versions, I hope the bulbous top of the Aervana can be shrunk in size (and not require 9 million batteries!) because it looks a little obnoxious at the moment. There is a definite feeling of 'home grown' about it, because the two feeder tubes that go into the wine bottle were different lengths. Not strategically different lengths for different sized wine bottles, but more like they'd been quickly cut by hand.Having said all that, it's a great and novel device for anyone who enjoys wine, particularly with friends. This will be a talking point of the evening, I can assure you, and it does make a big difference when tasting a younger red wine. I'm looking forward to future, smaller versions of this device.PS. For people complaining about the spout being brittle and breaking - I'm not quite sure how you're handling it, but the spout from the Aervana is solid and I've had no issues with it at all. Don't drop it on the floor, obviously, but if you use it like a normal person, it's perfectly fine and robust.

I ordered this for my wife as a gift. We have now been using it for a week and for several hosting occasions with friends and family. We have had no problems with it yet and we have found it to be very convenient for dispensing wine and keeping the wine from spoiling (not sure how long it will keep wine fresh - we have had only tried up to 4 days so far), as well as aerating the wine. The pump fills the wine glass quickly with a simple push and hold of a button, this made it very convenient for our quests to help themselves without needing to pour (and spill). So far, it's been great! I only gave four stars because it does leave a glass-full of wine in the bottom of the bottle. The instructions says this is purposeful in keeping any sediment from being pumped into your glass - but honestly, I think there are ways to achieve this without wasting so much wine (maybe a screen, etc.). otherwise, it's a great device for wine lovers!

My wife loves her reds. I bought this for a Christmas present for her, really knowing nothing about wine myself. The moment she tried it side by side with a glass poured directly from the bottle, she was in love! She’s brought it to parties and now swears by it. Really nice gadget and the pouring alone is worth it to me! It really (she says) makes the wine less “bitter” (?). I feel like a hero!

This product worked great and as advertised- it definitely helped make a rather mediocre tasting wine that much smoother! The device looks great on the dinner table as well!

The media could not be loaded.  Non è solo un versare, premendo il pulsante il vino viene aerato ogni singola volta. Il processo di areare il vino (rosso, bianco o rosato che sia) riduce l'acidità nei vini e il sapore acuto e amaro degli spiriti, esaltando un profumo e un gusto più corposo. Vinaera è un ottimo prodotto, l'ho potuto testare con 2 bottiglie, una di vino rosso e una di vino bianco. In entrambi i casi ho potuto constatare, che il vino con una semplice pressione del tasto veniva erogato perfettamente bilanciato, tra aria e vino, con un gusto e profumo perfetto. Questa prodotto, con 6 batterie (AAA) riesce a funzionare per 250 bottiglie ( così dicono) io ne ho provate ancora 2. Consiglio a tutti gli appassionati e anche ai non appassionati di vino, perché fa anche da arredo...

It's easy to set it up and to use! So far, it has fit easily in all of our wine bottles very smoothly and with a light touch on the button, it pours you a wonderful glass of wine! Love it!
