Bays

I don't know what it was exactly... I listened to this album a couple times right when it came out while I enjoyed it nothing ever stuck. I returned to it today and listened with headphones straight through and have fallen in love with seems an entirely different album. These guys grow in such subtle but significant ways with each album, slowly slowly expanding. The intricacies of the tracks here on "Bays" are just effin intoxicating. What was once a OK album to me has become a favorite of theirs and now I can't stop listening to it. Not a "skipper" among the cuts. Love it.Update: the vinyl I received is a gorgeous 2xLP set on white vinyl, in a gatefull and really nice cover. Discs are noise-free, nice pressing. Not the best master I've heard - sounds slight bit fatter than the available digital track but a bit less detailed in the highs. Definitely not bad at all. The low-end on these LPs is like deep butter. Usually I'm not a fan of 2xLP sets except for live albums or actual long album lengths that warrant it, and FFD's record do - nice long tracks that are fine when spaced across 4 sides. Fantastic album.
