Soil Doctor 54050860 Pelletized Calcitic Limestone

It looks as it does on the page, heavier than I thought 40 pounds would feel - I'm dealing with an injury that screams at me when I do things like lift too more than a notebook.. so for me right now, this was like trying to lift a brick wall... yeah.I'm definitely impressed with this purchase, and the seller. I've not used it yet, but I can for see the future at my house... and outdoors too. NO MORE FLEA TAKE OVERS!! The last two years I dealt with an invasion of fleas. My cats are indoor only beasties. So this means beyond all understanding I brought the intruders in somehow while entering - exiting on days I assigned myself yard duties.. I'm a lady who LOOVES to play with the boys toys.. weed beaters, mini chain saws, pole saws, electric drills..etc.. Yup!This year.. well, they're on vacation..and my weeds are competing with my height of 5'4. but at least I know that the insects will not be mass producing..Sometimes,, you have to do what's best for you. Not what the neighbors want.Weeds... well this year is a bet to see which one wins the mulcher quicker prize. Get to 5'5 (easy to remove no bending over lol) Priorities.. heal then yard. Not yard, cry, heal.insect removal or burial is #1 goal this spring..everything in it's own way will still be there, when I'm able to compete with Gumby again.Weed pulling is alot like those stretches you did in High Shule.. Head Shoulders Knees and Toes.Bend over Pull dump in green waste, repeat... after about 25 of these stand up and groan while rubbing your lower back. Yeah, HSKT of the over 50 brigade!! Always works and makes my grass pop

I apply Soil Doctor lime with a hand held whirlybird applicator. I've used soil doctor lime pellets before and been pleased, so this has become my go-to lawn & garden lime. The pellets always made application easy, so I was surprised to see the size of the pellets were a little smaller in this bag. As it turns out, they are even easier to disburse in the newer form, with even less dust at the bottom of the bag. They'll continue to be my go-to choice

Way overpriced!!!

Great product for lawn care but much cheaper at big box store. This lime removed all burn spots on my lawn and not my front yard is dark green and thick. My neighbors who have landscapers have commented how good my lawn looks, which I take care of myself. Buy this lime if you want to keep your investment nourished and thriving just be aware you will pay for the convenience of having it delivered to your home.

This was a really easy to spread product that dissolved quickly and has helped adjust the PH level in the soil so now the grass seed I planted is taking and growing in where before it didn't. It was a great price compared to the other options I found on Amazon and elsewhere. I will probably be buying another bag soon to keep resurrecting the lawn.

This review is for Soil Doctor 54050860 Pelletized Calcitic Limestone. These are fairly large pellets, too big for the spinner on my old red Ortho Whirlybird hand spreader. The spinner kept jamming so I ended up spreading it by hand. More than likely it would work in a standard broadcast spreader, but I only had a couple small areas to do. The large pellets have a good heft and settle down close to the soil surface. There was almost no dust which was a pleasant surprise. I would buy this product again.
