I was watching a Chinese chef using a cleaver, but it is really a Chinese Chef's Knife. Shibaozi reviews have been great or terrible. However, they are a long-standing knife and scissor company in China with a great reputation. So, I took a shot. These are 3 knives for Shibaozi knives for $35! I was considering one Shibaozi Chef Knife for $34.I found these knives to be of great value. I didn't find them "too light," "a Dollar General knife, or a mediocre knife. The bevel was perfectly straight on each knife. These are not forged knives, but they claim to have an HRC of 56, and that is a hard steel (that wasn't named). 15* edge is pretty keen. I tested on a hard potato and it sliced through it like butter. That isn't a couple of months of testing, YMMV.I recommend these knives. I would say they are not designed for working in a professional kitchen. Professional knives are forged and use a super steel. However, if you want super sharp, light, balanced, and well made, this is your knife set. It's general home cooking knives. It will do the job well. If the 15* edge didn't last, sharpen it up and use it for another year or two. I am happy with them.

The knife is very sharp. I cleaned it when I bought it. There were some traces on it that could not be washed. So I gave it to Samsung. It was a little thin!

I bought many knives and spent over $100 on a single knife before. But this set is THE BEST! You wont regret it.

it is an ok kitchen knife, worth the money and it is much better compared to my old one. but It does not meet my expectation for this knife
