Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shade - # Rhinoceros (Sophisticated Olive) 2.5g/0.08oz

I fell in love with this color; so I took a chance on the product. I know this is a highly rated brand, it's certainly expensive. I received it quickly. I tried applying it with a short bristled brush on my eyelid. It goes on pretty lightly, which I thought was Ok and I did notice it had more shimmer than I was expecting. I smudged it with another brush and went about my day.A few hours later, I took a look in the mirror and saw glittery bits under my eye and all the way down to my cheekbones! I looked like I'd just come from a disco circa 1970. Not at all what I was hoping for. Clearly this product needs some sort of a primer to get it to stick in place, but I'm not sure I want to go try a bunch of different things. I rarely even wear makeup these days, I just thought it would be nice to have an eyeshadow for date nights. This isn't it.
