Columbia Men's Rebel Roamer Rain Pant

Good pants and comfortable. light weight and rain resistant.

After trying several lower price, knock off brands and returning them because they either provided extensive wedgies to the person wearing them or particularly poor sizing or the most crinkly noises I have ever heard, including those produced by potato chip companies I’m glad I finally found a pair of halfway decent pants. They reasonably fit women too. They are designed to be a little bit big to fit over your regular pants so you can put them on while hiking when it starts to rain. None of these pants are designed to give you runway worthy looks, but are designed to keep your butt dry quite literally. These pants aren’t exactly high-rise, but the rise was better than six other pairs in various sizes. Despite paying $60 each for them I bought two pair one for my Spouse and I for our upcoming hiking vacation. Definitely better quality and with less wrestling and crinkling than other brands.

I have a jacket and needed some rain pants for a trip. These are rain pants, so they’re baggy and meant to fit over your clothes. I’m fine with the fit and like that they have velcro at the ankles for you to taper the bottoms a bit.Looking at the size chart, I went with a small because I’m 32 waist. The waist was definitely quite tight, almost a bit too tight with clothes underneath… but I feel like if I got a medium then, if he swimming in the pants. So with that said, I’m happy and will keep them since they are not used a lot. They kept out the rain, quality was very nice but the waist is definitely tight so maybe size up. Length was fine for the small size and I’m 6’0.

I keep buying rain gear that ends up soaked through within an hour of being out in the rain. As a dog walker, I spend a lot of time outside in all weather, so this was a pain! I can confirm that these pants are DEFINITELY waterproof!! I am female 5'1 and 100lbs and the waistband is comfortable, though the rest of the pants are a tiny bit large. They are a bit long for my short legs and do drag on the ground, but the extra width in the legs does allow you to pull them on over your boots. They do not have pockets, which I would have loved, but I supposed this is the price we pay for truly waterproof gear.

My only complaints are that they do not have pockets, and the ankle Velcro is too small to get any significant adjustment out of it. It’s still very baggy at its very tightest.

I walk to work every day (only a mile) and needed something to keep my pants dry on our frequent rainy days. These are exactly what I wanted/needed, the fit is loose enough so they don't feel constricting and so I can pull them on over my shoes - not boots (haven't tried yet). There is velcro at the cuffs for a more custom fit and the fabric is breathable so moisture does not build up on the inside.I have used these in driving rain and constant drizzle and have been comfortable and dry. As a bonus and as expected, they block the wind and create an insulating layer which helps to keep me warm on cooler days. I have not had the opportunity to try them out in the snow to really test the insulating factor (not what they were made for).I have used these in warm weather as well (mid 60s) and did not feel hot or uncomfortable. These roll up nicely and fit in my computer book bag so they live there most of the time with my light weight rain jacket.these work exactly as advertised and I am happy with the quality, fit and performance.

When I got these pants (size Large/30" length), they looked noticeably big around the legs (see attached picture). I measured the bottom, and they were 11" width at the bottom opening which is too wide for my liking. So I had a seamstress taper the legs for a closer fit...this did the trick for me. Now they fit like regular pants and I can still wear thermals underneath. With all of the rain we've had this winter in SoCal, I gave them a try and they worked perfectly...the fit was better and they were waterproof. It sucked I had to pay someone to taper the pants but at least I'm happier with the pants now

Breaks my heart to write this as I love Columbia sportswear gear, but this purchase was a massive disappointment and I got my trousers on an absolute bargain?? I would have sent it back if I'd paid anything remotely close to retail but they will do as a spare pair? I ordered another more useful pair direct from Columbia UK site but paid a ridiculous amount £££ The listing description for Amazon is for a different product??? Elastane?? 100% nylon? There are supposed to be 4 pockets??? DOH!!! There are exactly none??? Sizing is neat to say the least and I just had a pair of joggers on when I tried them on? Only time will tell if they are remotely breathable? Very disappointing experience !!

I got these in small because of the other comments.I usually wear large or medium, but for these the small fit like medium+.Can be worn almost any weather or occasion. I use it to wear over suit pants when its raining real hard.Overall greats pants.
