TKWide 32oz (w/ Chug Cap) - Marigold

I'm chronically dehydrated, to the point where if you ask me when the last time I had water, I can't usually answer. The only solution I've found is to keep a water bottle with me - at my desk, in the truck, at the gym. However, finding a decent bottle is easier said than done. I've been through them all - Nalgene, Hydroflask, Zojirushi...all of them have failed or have significant design flaws. Not this one, though! Firstly, the stainless steel, double-walled construction of the bottle is seemingly indestructible. I've dropped this thing from frankly ludicrous heights, and still not even a dent. The coating on the exterior of the bottle isn't so much paint as it is some sort of slightly textured, ceramic-like coating. It really improves grip on the bottle, and resists scratching really well. I don't really put hot liquids in the bottle, but it will keep ice solid for at least two days before it melts. The cap is extremely well-designed as well. The threads are unique in that they aren't standard raised threads; they're a pattern of raised dots that engage with the cap. This serves two purposes that I can see. Firstly, they're much easier to clean than standard threads and don't build up grime as easily. Secondly, if you're drinking from the bottle uncapped, the dots don't get in the way while you're sipping, and since they're interior threads, your bottom lip isn't in contact with the threads, allowing a much better seal on the bottle for fewer spills. The Chug Cap is a must-have for any wide mouth bottle. If you've ever drunk from a wide mouth bottle without a reducer cap, you'll know how easy it is to spill the water around the sides of the opening due to the width. The Chug Cap removes that issue, by adding a firm rubber reducer cap to drink from. You can still take the full cap off for filling with ice, then replace the cap and drink from the smaller opening. The stainless steel loop on the cap is perfect for carrying the bottle with a few finders, or attaching a carabiner to clip onto a pack or belt. I will absolutely be buying another one of these, in the larger 64oz size, which highlights a final point of these bottles: the caps on several different double-walled versions of this bottle are all interchangeable!

I have a klean lantern years back when they first came out. I was in the market snd wanted a large water bottle that wouldn’t leak, and had a top I could unscrew to drink. My husband tried to talk me out of buying a klean kanteen and doing a cheaper brand. I love this guy. I got this top, but like that I could get another top to fit. I like the metal handle and the top actually slips back so it’s also not in your face all the time and you don’t have to hold it back each time you drink. The size is nice, because I set it on my desk and fill it up once more and I’ve met my water quota for the day :) This thing has rolled around our 13 passenger van and come out unscathed. The best part? No leaks. None. Others say they don’t buy they are liars. My husband who tried to talk me out of buying it is actually looking at one. It doesn’t fit in my car cup holders, but I knew it wouldn’t when I bought it. I plan on buying a smaller one to be able to drink out of while driving and fit in my car. I throw both the top and bottom in the dishwasher and it’s no issue at all. I hate plastic water bottles and how they taste, so this guy is awesome. Other purchases I’ll give a 5 an say “but you might be happy buying something else.” Listen. Buy this one. If not this size smaller. The other water bottle is going to let you down.

Just got the Kleen Kanteen, so I can't speak to durability, but the bottle is built really well. I bought this because it can be disassembled completely for cleaning including the cap gasket. My old bottle required that you somehow dig the gasket out of a 1/2" deep groove, but this bottle uses a silicon O ring that can be removed by hand. Even the spout is removable although it requires some hand strength. The bottle has a larger opening than my Hydroflask, so it's easier to get ice into it. It even fits in the cupholder in my truck. I really like that the cap docks on the carry handle so it doesn't poke you in the eye. Also, that carry handle is better than carrying the bottle by the cap strap. It is competitively priced. Great bottle - the sticker on the bottom even comes off without leaving a gummy residue!! Woo hoo! Follow-up: with ice and water, the metal handle loop gets cold, and the rim where the lid screws in gets cold also. This indicates a place where the insulation is not so great, but for me, that is an acceptable compromise given that the cap can be thoroughly cleaned. My use is 90% indoors, and 10% outdoors in Tucson heat and the bottle keeps my water cold during outdoor activities. Follow-up #2 August 2022. Now over a year old, and used constantly, the TKWide bottle is in perfect condition, and it continues to work well. This container does fit in the cup holder in my Tundra truck, but it does not fit in my Corolla hybrid. I picked up a set of car seat headrest hooks and the bottle hangs behind the passenger seat when in the smaller car. The hooks are also great for hanging bags such as take out.

I've had this thing for a little bit now and I like it. Prior to this I tried a hydro jug which I do not recommend especially if you tend to drop stuff. This thing can take a good amount of abuse and keeps my water nice and cold all day long. Does not leak, easy to clean, easy to open, and capacity is great.

I LOVE this color yellow, sort of a goldenrod I guess. Not quite mustard but almost? And of course it keeps my water cool all day as I drive around in my hot car in the sweltering New Orleans heat. The size is perfect for me and I have not had any issues with leaks.

Completely rewriting this review. I started with five stars, and overtime have gone to four, three, two, and finally one star. The main reason being is how difficult the lid is to work with. Screwing on, if not done tight where there is decent resistance, it will leak. I have gotten water all over my backpack, my backside, and my car seat multiple times especially since this is a daily use bottle. Loosening is an even bigger issue. The stainless steel wrap around grip / carry handle slips if enough pressure is applied. This means it cannot be used as a lever to screw on or off the lid. If anything it makes it even more difficult because it will slip and obscure any part of the bottle worth gripping. There is nowhere else to grip to unscrew a very tight lid. The lid does not get overly tightened, but must be either debris or poor engineering tolerances or thermal expansion / contraction. I pretty much only use this bottle for ice water which isn't overly hard, so not much mineral build up. It does get washed at least weekly but even with no visible buildup, can get incredibly difficult to unscrew. Anyone with hand strength or mobility issues will not be able to work with this, at least if every bottle is like mine. This would easily be solved with a third party lid but for one, a company like this should provide every product with parts that work for their lifetimes, however long that may be. Even if the wasn't my main complaint, it uses a weird internal threading type system rather than most wide mouth bottles so finding a third party lid, specifically in the chug cap style which I want, is hard. Otherwise the bottle itself is fine, minus the weird choice of threads which are a series of convex domes. I'm sure this reduces material waste. I do admire what Klean Kanteen stands for and attempts to do but unfortunately this bottle cannot be used by me daily, somebody with perfectly good hands and arms. It's way too difficult unnecessarily. Maybe I have a bad lid.

Been using this for months now and I love it. I didnt like the lid part very much and prefer straws so I bought a different lid from this brand and Ive been using that.

I like it a lot

The product is sustainably manufactured. Looks great, does would it's supposed to do etc. However, compared to my Hydroflask the finish is not great. The lid came with broken plastic (doesn't impact functionality) and the yellow coating had an ugly irregularity at the bottom (no impact on function). It was a gift and the person who got it didn't want me to go through the hassle of sending it back. So we kept it. Overall the person is very happy with the product.
