Best single fly box
This fly box is good construction, strong magnets. I take just this box out for a day or weekend flytrip. I keep nymphs on the smaller side and larger parachute flys on the larger side. Grasshoppers and streamers both fit without getting crushed. I like having all my flys in one box with plenty of room. One downside is that some of the silicone holders were fused shut. I was going to call fishpond but I used a razorblade myself to separate the silicone and works fine.I would like to see some better color options to keep it more visible, but nothing a sticker cant help with.Great product and definitely recommend.

Great capacity for #14-#20 flies
Bought the Fishpond Tacky DH box specifically for the dry fly side and to consolidate multiple smaller boxes. Works great for purpose and gives the opportunity to use one box for dry's and nymphs in smaller sizes. The depth is too shallow for larger hackle flies but this is an OK tradeoff for a slim profile box to hold hundreds of imitations. Magnetic latch is great, silicone insert slots are just tight enough to make the flies secure, hinge durability looks great, but it is plastic, so you probably don't want to sit on it. Definitely a box to try.

The best
Tacky makes the best! An absolute pleasure to use out on the water and will last me several years. Holds plenty of flies without smashing hackles. I banged it on the counter to see if any would fall out and they all held. Zero issues.

Its nice
Its a nice fly box. It works. The silicone is hard. Box has some weight compared to others like Umpqua. I like the Umpqua ones better. Its still a good fly box.

Big but heavy. Well made
Too big and and heavy for my edc in a vest, but great for storage of flies you won’t carry. Very well made. Holds flys securely. Stuff when you 1st use it. Difficult to fit small flys next to the edge.

Keeper
Ya gotta love this box - Holds a lot of flies very well- Tried to use as Catskill Dry/ Nymph box but even though it might work with smaller flies I was too concerned that wings and hackle might get permanently crushed over time. So changed to Nymphs and Wets on one side and Terrestrials, Streamers, Hoppers on the other.Perfect. Looks good ands feels good.I’m keepin it.

Versatile
Good box. Room for assorted size flie and leeches, woolly bugers. I like the magnetic closure.

Solid built but the magnets didn't feel strong enough to keep the lid closed
I love fishpond products but this one was a miss for me. Sure it holds a ton of flies but after I overpacked it (or even tried to put some slightly large ones in) I ran in to issues with the lid trying to close and often coming open in my bag. Is it on me for overfilling it? Probably but I like to put flies in every spot when I go on long trips and the case truly isn't big enough unless you are only loading it with midges or small flies.
