I was skeptical about ordering this for my 2yr old granddaughter after reading some of the reviews about how the parents liked it but the children didn't - I am so happy I decided to take the chance. When I received it, I took it out of the box and put some batteries in it immediately to try it out - I thought it was Awesome! It repeated everything I said in it's little hamster voice! So I wrapped it up and gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday. When she opened it, she liked that it was a fuzzy little creature but she didn't realize what it would do - so we (the adults) had to demonstrate - she was AMAZED! She quickly took it from us and started telling it all of her secrets and it would, dutifully, repeat them back to her - she was overjoyed and just kept on talking, it was soooo funny. She totally loved having a little buddy that could speak her language! She carried it around everywhere until we were able to sneak it from her and turn it off for a while, LOL. I am very pleased with this purchase - with one comment, a volume control would be nice (it only has one volume level). If you are 'on the fence' I definitely recommend this toy, it was great fun for all of us!

The media could not be loaded.  So cute!!! It is the perfect size for the two year old I purchased it for. It is plush and soft. I can easily understand the words it repeated back to me. My only comment would be that the screw that was to have been there to secure the battery door was missing. The battery door will still stay on regardless because it also has a latch to secure it. I have included a short video so you can see how easily you can understand what is repeated back.Someone asked if product came in original box so I am including pictures of product in box.

Very annoying! Great gift to give to another’s child to exact revenge for their annoying gift they gave your kid.

I thought this would be a cute Christmas gift. Boy was I wrong. The first day I got it the repeat was marginally acceptable. I tested it the second day and it gave way to a more of a gibberish speak.. totally indiscernible for the most part. a language all its' own. I actually bought a more expensive one thinking that the quality would be better.. guess again. It seemed like their were dozens of sellers offering the same hamster. Live and learn. A telltale signal of lack of quality was when I opened it, a screw on the bottom securing the battery compartment was too large and sticking out causing the extended screw to make the hamster lean and wobbly. Of all the stuff I've ordered over the years, this one ranks in the bottom two lowest.

This is a toy that is delivered to your door for less than $15. Why would anyone think it would be a high quality audio device I do not know it's records for approximately 10 seconds and then repeats what he hears. I have a second one the record time is for 5 seconds then repeats what he hears. Sometimes that 10-second recording is a little confusing. The microphone is very sensitive in picks up background noise that can make the whole recording sound distorted. But if you're in a room alone talking to it in a slow voice if repeats word for word very clearly. So if your child speaks plainly and wants to talk to a friend that 10 second version would work well if you're looking for a quick laughs the 5 second version works better. ayeboovi made my 5 second hamster.
