A Wonderful, Strange, Hallucination of a Book.
I am not sure what happened in this book, it is not a straightforward narrative that is all explained. Nothing is explained in the usual way, nothing is explained at all, and this is what I like most about this book. It is likely that not all of the characters in the book are actually alive, maybe none of them are alive. Situations and dialogue are repeated by different characters which just adds to the wonderful sense of mystery and otherworldliness contained in these pages. It is like a strange surreal dream that you can visit for a time. I am so glad to have discovered the work of Bae Suah and I will be reading more of her work soon. This might not be a novel for everyone, but those who are drawn to the idea of floating untethered in the sea of another person's creative imagination are likely to be very glad to have found this book, as I was.

Dream or reality?
This book is a story in a story in a story or isn‘t it?A surreal connection of different lives melting into each other but also where the consistency of time and the connection vary extremely. Are they dreaming or living is the question that popped up again and again in my mind and if it is a dream, which story is the real one? The connection between the two main characters so different from each ones view and repeated sentences like refrains in the story were suprising and so refreshing. The meaning of a sentence is never the same for anyone and Bae Suah showed you in her book how different it can be for the one who hears/read/thinks it. I was fascinated by the structure and the developing story. Finding hints and symbols that connected both „worlds“ with each other. Often, when I was sure Ayami’s world is the real one, there come up a paragraph like: „This city’s hidden name is „secret“. People lose one another before they know it.“ and bamm I was catapulted back, somewhere in the middle I stopped caring and just read on.My younger self often dreamed how my life would be in a parallel world and what kind of person I would be, in this book you have this strange parallel universe life and at the same time it feels more like a story in a story but until the end the reader can‘t figure out. Maybe it is even just a strange long dream or they are ghosts stick in a time vortex that doesn’t let them go.Definitely a unique reading experience I loved to have and still need to work trough.

I will wait for you
Don’t go far away, even for just one day, becauseBecause…a day is long, andI will wait for you.⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/5I have no idea what to think about this book.We had parts of the story in different timelines, some parts are kinda looped (?). And i had this weird feeling, almost if something is not right but you have no idea why and you are intentionally left in the dark when lights are on.If you want to ask me about plot, and i can say that our MC is a young lady who worked in an audio theater but there are changes coming her way.And that’s probably it, only this book is full of this this vibe similar to one when you are not sleeping but not fully awake yet.Strangely beautiful and intricate.
