Dale Chihuly often starts the work for his astonishing glass art on a simple piece of paper: a napkin at a restaurant, a page from a sketchbook, a fax sheet. From there, teams of collaborators, fabricators, and artisans help bring Chihuly's artistic vision to fruition. This large-format, double-sided floor puzzle follows this process for the installation that he designed for the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, with an early sketch on one side of the puzzle and a prismatic detail from the completed artwork on the other.
