Ceramic Ferro Rod Striker Mini Size EDC Survival Kit for Fire Starter

We use ferro rods all the time for lighting fires and I had purchased the Bayite 3.14" keychain ferro rods to go on our key ring. I wanted a striker that was small, that didn't take up space. This is for emergencies and I don't mind having to remove it if I really needed to use it. The combination of the keychain ferro rods with this striker is perfect. The striker has a very good edge and it probably works better than any other striker except it is small and you have to be coordinated to stay on the ferro rod, but this was what I wanted. For hiking and larger ferro rods I use larger strikers.

Way bigger sparks! Like a shower of sparks. If you wanna start a fire with a fero rod get this. The durability is insane.I put one of these on my key ring months ago, and it's fine. Super easy to use.It's like a guitar pick.

They are good but I wish they were a little larger. These will be impossible with gloves and if your hands are cold. For reference the hole is too small for para cord. I bought these as duplication items so the small size didn't deter me too badly but you need to be aware of it before you decide to buy them. I had a good idea their size but I assumed they were a bit larger. Smaller than a guitar pick by a great deal.

This thing is tiny, the sharp edges produce more sparks than the back of my knife, and it doesn't seem to wear or dull at all. Definitely heats up quickly, but there's no way something so small wouldn't. If you're starting fires all day every day, something bigger might be nice, but this is perfect for a keychain.

worked well

Almost twice as small as a guitar pick. Will burn your finger quickly when using unless you’re stuffing tinder between the sparks and your fingers. Be careful. Little buggers are crazy effective at igniting a ferro rod with very little force compared to steel but watch out all the sparks - you’ll burn your gloves or fingers so develop a method that works for you before you discover things the hard way while camping.

Good thing they sell these in a two pack because you're likely to lose one of them the first time you try to use it unless it is tied to you in some way. These are too short to comfortably hold onto. The material is great and they work well with a ferro rod if you use a set of pliers to hold onto them.

It is much smaller than the photos on Amazon show. Thus when I ordered it I hoped that it would not be too large and heavy, It is actually perfectly made and the size is just great. Keep up the good work Nexland.

Too small

They work. Great spark but because they are so small it's hard to hold them and not "feel" the spark. Definitely great to have in my purse for emergencies. I would recommend them.
