Extremely well made boots
These are very light weight. I wear them almost daily for work. I walk 3-5 miles per day for work. I have hunted in them in rough terrain. After 7 months of a lot of wear and tear they show no signs of falling apart like other shoes I have used for work and play. I like them so much I plan on ordering another pair. I have flat feet with no natural arch and these support my foot and I haven't caused any back pain. I have to be careful about what shoes I order and Danner's have been comfortable out of the box every time.

Pleasantly surprised about comfort, fit, and support
I've had plantar fasciitis issues for years and was getting ready for a trip that was to involve miles of walking and some wet terrain, so I decided to give Danner a try and so glad I did. (Disclosure: leaving nothing to chance I also retrofitted the boots with Superfeet Trailblazer insoles.) The fit is as expected. I ordered the wide (W) and it was perfect for my duck feet with good space in the toe box. The boot is very stable on all kinds of terrain and the goretex keeps the wet out and it somewhat breathable. I found the internal shank to provide very good support and the unusual external heel stabilizer works surprisingly well. Also, for the fashion-conscious, the heel stabilizer is not as prominent with the boot on your foot as it looks in the product photos. During the trip, I was very pleased at night to not be in severe pain, even on the days I walked 10 or more miles. I consider that a success. Since back, I have continued to wear the boots and they have held up well. They are expensive, but if you want a high quality boot, these are worth your time and money. In fact, I was so impressed, I bought a pair of the non-goretex 2650 shoes too.

Worth the money?
I was hesitant to buy them but did it anyways, I like the style thought they were a little tight at first but after two or three days of usage they felt very comfortable, also they look nice. Worth the price? I think so.

Very comfortable
Super comfortable and look great. Only had a week but the color appears to be fading quickly. I will wait a see in the next week or so.

Okay - But Not as advertised.
I like the fact that the shoes are comfortable and lightweight. I was really wanting to by a shoe that was made in the USA. In fact the details on Amazon sight for this shoe says it is made in the USA. Not so. Inside the shoe the label says designed in the USA. Manufactured in Vietnam. Where is the truth in advertising?

Very light, comfortable footbed
This is an extremely light boot. I have moderately wide feet and the double EE 10.5 fit perfectly. This is my third pair of Danners and I really like em!! Ive used vasque and keen with mixed results. Danners have always been the best fitting and longest lasting for me. If you need stiff ankle support this is not your shoe. But if you want all day comfort on hard surfaces in more of a sneaker feel. This is an extremely comfortable shoe. With great traction.!

Comfortable, Waterproof, Rugged!
These fit true to size and how my standard sneakers fit in terms of the number. They broke in really easily (probably after a week of wearing them daily for work), and they're waterproof just like they claim. My feet don't feel super hot in them either. On top of that, the fit itself is comfortable and these feel like rugged boots that keep my feet protected! I'd definitely buy a pair of Danner's again.

Couldn't wear hiking boot until Danner
Hiking boots have never worked for me. They hurt my feet, improperly constrained motion, etc. I've always done better with running shoes, trail-running shoes and open sandals like Tevas. This includes backpacking, hiking Half Dome, you name it as long as there isn't snow on the ground. I went to an outdoors and hiking type store and was fitted and helped by an expert in his 70s, and an ultramarathoner. We worked through the variables. I have a neutral striking foot, don't need help with pronation for example. I tried on some low top Danners, they felt like supportive athletic shoes. Hiked and hiked in them. Great! When I saw these on sale I jumped on them because they're mid-tops. I find that wool socks can make my foot slippery in a shoe, any shoe, even on my hardwood floors, and the mid-top helps there. I don't need them for my ankles, just to keep my foot in the foot bed as reliably as can be while still wearing wool socks.
