I have bought this lead but how can I upload software as my computer does not have a CD drive

I didn't use the software that came with it. After reading other users comments I downloaded OBS which is free to use.

Hi does this converter connect to a camcorder and convert videos on there to my computer?

Yes but the software was outdated so had to download the most recent version

How do you record ‘tv shows’ Has it a built in tuner ?

It is designed to record from external sources such as a VHS video player or DVD player. It is not a source itself, it has no tuner etc. It uses a software recorder that is basic but effective.
