Picture and description are accurate. As other people say in reviews the bottom doesn’t seem very sturdy but if you’re putting it in something flat that’s not a problem. The lock works and come with two keys. And if anyone else was wondering like I was this fits perfectly in the back of a Jeep tj! I wanted something I could bolt down to secure my things while I don’t have the top one which is quite often. This is perfect! The welds are ugly but will Home just fine.

This was a nice aluminum box. I intended on mounting it on the tongue of my travel trailer for a new LiFEPO4 battery I was building, but on arrival, I found that it just would not fit in the space I had available. The lid needs around 2" of space to hinge open, and this requirement meant I would have to slide the box forward, causing it to interfere with the weight-distribution hitch fittings on the trailer's A-frame. I wish there had been room, as this was a well-built box with lots of room inside.

It's pretty thin for a Toolbox and fairly useless without side handles. But its fine for a battery box for your RV trailer hitch which is why I bought it. It also comeswith a locking latch and key for a little extra security for those expensive rv batteries. The top lid is about an inch and a half wider than the listed measurements so if space is tight make sure you have enough room. The thin metal also makes it easier to convert to battery box when drilling vent and access holes.

I used it to house a hydraulic pump for my HydraLift motorcycle carrier. Cut and welded a panel in to clear brace and found that the Aluminum is part something else or made out of Beer cans, because it was very difficult to weld!

Very good quality but it doesn't have handles. I need handles. So I guess I return it or install handles myself. Not sure which way to go yet but probably easier just to drill some holes and install handles I find somewhere. My guess is that returning it would just get me another one without handles.UPDATE: I emailed Better Built and they responded quickly that the newer boxes don't have handles and the photo needs to be changed. However, they are sending me handles to install myself, which is fine with me. For my purpose, locking stuff inside a van and chaining the box to the seat post supports with Kryptonite's strongest lock and chain, this box is perfect. The lid support works well and is a bonus. The lockable latch works fine.

The metal used is a thinner gauge than I was expecting. And the apprentice who did the welding should practice more before welding products that are being sold to the public. Very underwhelming workmanship. I'm using it as a battery box on my travel trailer and it will do the job I want it to do.

I like the size and perfect for what I use it for but the lock seems a little cheap and the bottom is bowe,d if it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars

Small and compact. I couldn't find anything smaller. The handle hits a bit but works fine.
