Fairy Lane: Enchanting Fairies to Color (Fairy Lane Books) Paperback – March 18, 2016

Okay now this book really provides the best of all the other books that I've purchased that have beautiful fairies and this book features designs with fairies in their natural habitats which makes things very interesting to color especially after I have colored in other books that have basically just one fairy on a flower. With that said I enjoy coloring using different colors in my new set of colored pencils and different blending techniques because there's a large areas where I could really do some shading there are also some very fine detail work which required some fine tip sharpening. I also use some felt-tipped and I prefer my fine tip ones first and then I try to do the larger areas last just because I don't like smudging them up so that's just my little tip. I made sure that I looked over other reviewers notes about this book before I made the purchase so I was well aware of what the book was going to be like. I loved it even more seeing it in person. My only little side note is that sometimes the area is would kind of smudge so I was very careful around the black lines so that I didn't basically make the black line bleed into the colored area. I was careful to keep my hand from smudging because I thought maybe the oils in my hands were making its fade. But for the most part it is very colorfast and I've only noticed it in some places. I am extremely thrilled with this but because of the content and the the pictures themselves are gorgeous. One of the things I look for in a book is if the fairy looks Angelic and in my opinion there's so many in this book that do. I especially love the fairies that are depicted with the trees and the nature pictures. I really like the one page that has the wedding fairy and I'm really looking forward to coloring Nowlin I just haven't decided on my colors haha I want to find some real Bridal looking colors and make it look extremely festive in a traditional way. I have posted some of my work on some of the other books and I haven't finished anything yet but I will add some things as I color. I recommend buying this book you will not have any regrets the paper is nice the pictures are back tabac with just a plain white paper on the back so if you want to tear these or cut these you can and if you want to just put something in between you can yours felt pens and make sure that nothing bleeds through. I particularly like having the black lines lighter because it allows really for the colored pencils to just pop but the designs are just incredible the types of flowers the arrangements the the details just the faces are just so sweet everything about this book you will just love there isn't anything negative to say I feel that there's just the right amount of busyness there's a nice background to everything but the fairies not lost in it she's always still front and center and yet there is enough background to break the boredom of just coloring a fairy. You are really going to enjoy this book and if you are already enjoying it please post some work this year because that's what makes it fun

The media could not be loaded. This is my second book of fairy designs by Barbara Lanza. The first was a best-selling book by Creative Haven. This book is by another publisher and while the artwork is as good if not better, the one thing that I miss in this book are the perforated pages. That certainly would not keep me from enjoying coloring in this book but it is something to note if you also own the prior bookThe fairies are beautiful and are in a variety of settings and poses. I really enjoy that some are fairly simple (such as my first project with a fairy and a sunflower) and that others are much more detailed with lots of back ground setting design.This is what I found in and about the coloring book:25 Elegant Fairy DesignsPrinted on one side of thin, slightly rough, non-perforated white paperA few designs merge into the binding areaGlue BoundAlcohol and water-based markers bleed through the pageGel pens and India Ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page.Coloring pencils work well with the paper. Soft lead pencils go on with good coverage and layer and blend well. Hard lead pencils work well but also dent the back of the page.I recommend using a blotter page below the page you are working on to keep ink or dents from marring the design on the next page.

I have been buying adult coloring books as gifts for my family members. Love them all, they have all been very nice. This one, though, knocked my socks off! Exquisitely graceful artwork awaits the avid colorer who will open these pages. Inside you will find breathtaking fairies and their surroundings. Ms. Lanza's fairies rival my childhood favorite, Cicely Mary Barker. I was immediately brought back to my joyous youth of Flower Fairies of the Seasons. It is impossible to look at Ms. Lanza's fairies and not feel joy inside! Bravo Barbara!I can't decide who to give this book to. I think I'll have to simply purchase more copies! :)

When I saw this I knew I had to add this to my order as my mom loves Faires and She doesnt have any addult coloring books of her own. We usually share my books if we decide to sit down and color. So I thought this is the perfect coloring book for her. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful. The faires are so well drawn they are not funny looking like they can be in some books, there faces, dresses and backgrounds are great. My mom loved this when I gave it to her and she is very excited to color the wonderful and magical pages that lie inside this amazing book.

Beautiful and graceful book. The images flow in the pictures just like the wind was blowing. You can really let your imagination go with the beautiful gowns. There are also animals and trees, etc in the pages, so it is a complete picture. Not just a fairy and nothing else. The paper is a little light, so I would advise using an extra sheet under the page you are coloring to prevent bleed thru or heavy pencil lines. A great addition to my collection!

Nice pictures. Fun to color. I like more detailed challenging color books.

This is one of my favorite books out of the many I have. The artwork is just incredible & its unique. I have quite a few fairy & fantasy books but none are like this. There's more to each page than just a fairy &/or some flowers like some books. Barbara Lanza is an amazing artist. I'm thrilled to have this book to put my own spin on her work. I will & have recommended this to everyone I know who colors.

Very cute drawings in this book. If you are a fan of fairies then this one should be on your list to get ! THe book s standard sixe and the paper quality is average. It will do well with colored pencils but I cannot say how it would do with markers or gel pens since I dont use either. Overall I think this is a fantastic book and will look for more from this artist !

ich bin erst am anfang mit dem malen und habe noch nicht viel probiert,als ich dann ein mandala buch zum ausmalen bekam war ich nicht so begeistert,denn ich hatte mir etwas mehr landschaften tiere und blumen vorgestellt,nach einigem suchen bin ich hier auf diese elfen gestoßen,und hab mir gedacht den buntstiften ist es egal ob es ein englisches buch ist,und die motive sind wunderschön...es ist nur empfehlenswert

No se puede dar otra opinion de este libro mas que es un 10.Paginas llenas de flores y naturaleza ,bosques y cada dibujo contiene una o varias hadas .Muy romantico y feminino.Muy bien detallado y super conseguido.Lo recomiendo.Papel bueno pero no muy grueso.Impresion por una cara

Das ist das schönste Ausmalbuch, was ich mir bisher bestellt habe. Die vorgemalten Konturen sind nicht zu stark, einfach wunderschön auszumalen. Für Feen und Elfen Liebhaber sehr geeignet.

Gute Qualität, wundervolle Motive, wenn auch etwas zu sehr am Schönheitsideal entlang. Ich würde mir Figuren mit mehr Individualität wünschen.
