Great Read - Real Page Turner!
Gone (Gone Series Book 1)Stacy ClaflinTo start out, I was extremely surprised with this book. From the vey begin gin, it was suspenseful and I really got into it. TO be honest, I couldn't put it down and pretty much read it entirely in a day and a half over my days off from work. I really like drama, crime, and romantic comedy sort for books, and this one had a little bit of everything. Everything about this book was great, the characters, storyline, plot - everything!I am a sucker for sitting and watching an entire season of a television show in one sitting, and I would have read the entire series if I could have! To bad I will have to wait until I can get my little hands on the rest of the books that will be following this first book into series. It is a love hate relationship, but this book definitely leaves you hanging at the end. None the less, I will be counting down the days until the next Book 2 of this series is released and I'm sure I will be in the same position waiting for the third book net!As for the author, I had never read anything previously by Stacy Claflin and this was a great surprise. I found the characters to be well developed, the pace was pretty fast passed, and it was ultimately pretty suspenseful and left me page turning throughout the entire book. This book was full of surprises and I highly recommend checking it out for an easy quick read that will leave you wanting more!I would highly recommend this book - Gone (Gone Series Book 1) by Stacy Claflin.*I received this book at a free or discounted price in return for my honest and unbiased review. No promise of a 5 star review was made by me to the seller. I highly value reviews when purchasing a product and rely on them when selecting products for purchase, therefore, this review is entirely that of my own.I hope that this review as helpful in your decision as to deciding whether you will purchase this product.

Not finished 😞
This was a good book, until I got to the end. I hate reading books that don't give closure. I will NOT but another book, just to finish one!!

Captivating and sad story that is wonderfully written
Living in a day and time where Internet predators lurk behind so many computer screens, many teenagers still do not understand the risks involved with giving out personal information over the internet. This book grips that fear and develops it as the plot thickens throughout the story of an Internet abduction. This book gripped me from day 1 and I could not put it down! Macy Mercer is a character that is deeply described and throughout the book you simultaneously grow to love her and desire to scream at her as a mother would. The author's portrayal of the events surrounding an abduction is full of detail for such a short fiction story. Many short books leave you grasping for details but Claflin fills them in beautifully with her vision as the writer. Back stories of the predator, present day activities around a victim's family, and police activity are all told in order to give a proper glimpse into the life of this family and community. The book finishes well for a trilogy. It gives enough closure to end 1 book but enough bait to get you to read the following stories. This book is done well and has obviously been labored over by the writer and editors to make it a book that can be enjoyed by many. I enjoyed the storyline and can't wait to finish this review so I can go begin reading the second book in the series.I received this e-book for free in exchange for my honest review. This incentive did not affect my review of this e-book.

Total page turner!
Ok, this book is amazing. From the very first sentence you get a bit of a chill at the thought of how creepy Chester is and you know absolutely nothing about him.Macy, your (sorta) typical teenager with angst and problems at school and at home. She is not happy with the rules placed on her and she meets a boy online and decides to meet him in real life (bad idea!). This is an story with a modern twist: don't talk strangers!! Growing up, social media was just starting to blow up and people told us not to talk to random people online and we got the message. But now that social media is all over the place (even dogs have their own facebook pages) I think that message has been lost to a lot of teenagers. With a promise of meeting new people and finding friends and love, Macy is sucked into a dangerous situation and everything is turned upside down.I think this story would make any parent freak out and turn off the social media their kids are looking at. It is any parents worse nightmare as a young girl who is insecure about herself gets taken by a man who is very dangerous. But, Macy is smart and she takes not of everything that is going on. It is a totally different view on protagonists and it is not some cliche character development. The book is well written and well worth the read! I think everyone should read this book because the author has touched upon a delicate subject that many of us would rather dismiss and not think about but a subject that is very important. The author also does all of this in a delicate and elegant way that makes this book a page turner.I received this book at a discount in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. And honestly, this book is great!

Very good story😊
This story was really interesting, exciting and entertaining. It really relates to the times we are in know. People, kids don't realize how dangerous the Internet is and should never give out their personal information. Stacy is a great storyteller and writer🙂.

Good read
The storyline is very intriguing, it’s just such a shame that it’s not a stand alone book, if I had known that I wouldn’t have started reading it!

A page turner without a doubt
The minute I started the book, I couldn't put it down till it was finished. Then I read the continuation "Held" and I must say for a second book it certainly held my attention. Again, I didn't stop reading it until it was finished. It is a horrific story, but a very believable one. The telling of the story from everyone who's involved was a great way to do it. It made the story more personal, more believable. You really feel for the family and for Macy. The family's situation was just as bad as Macy's ordeal. She was lucky in a sense that Chester wanted to replace a daughter and not a wife. I don't believe I could have read the story if it had been a wife Chester wanted to replace. Although the brutality was there for Macy in the physical sense, I felt the brutality of the situation for those concerned was just as real. A mind can conjure worst scenarios and compounded with guilt can be just as brutal.I can't wait to read the last book in the trilogy.

A gripping story you won't be able to put down.
This is a really gripping story that you get drawn into straight away and which then continues as a real page turner - I was hooked from the start and couldn’t wait to read the second book in the series which was as compelling as the first one. I am just about to start reading the third and final book in the Trilogy and am eager to get started.I found the characters well written, not just the main character but also all the family and friends who try to continue with their lives whilst hoping that Macy returns home safely. The book alternates with a chapter about Macy’s dilemma followed by a chapter about the family and friends she has been taken away from. Each time the plot switches it seems to be at a cliff-hanging point so you can’t wait for the story to return to that sub-plot again!Chester (Macy’s kidnapper) has planned things so well it is frightening and you really do wonder if there can be any hope for Macy. I have always worried about people meeting over the internet and this brings home how easily you can be taken in. I am surprised by the intense dislike I have developed for Chester as the story progresses! This is my first encounter with books by this author but I will certainly be looking out for more.

Creepy and addictive
A creepy, quick read that had me hooked from the start. Whilst I’m pleased the author has chosen to not restrict the plot to 300/400 pages I feel they could’ve added more plot and character depth to this novel. This book has echoes of Jillianne Hoffman’s ‘Pretty Little Things’ which I LOVE! It’s not as brutal to read and hasn’t been told through a detectives eyes. I’d very much like to read the next books in the series and find out how it all ends.
