I wish I knew about skimming blades years ago!
I am a somewhat serious DIYer. Every room I work on gets gutted. Three houses in the last 15 years. That’s a lot of drywall. And every project stalls when I get to the mud. I’ve read so many articles and tried all different techniques and tools, but I just struggle with it. I came across these skimming blades and I figured I’d give it a shot. Amazing!! My second coat of mud looks better than even my best third coat with traditional knives. Not to mention the time it saves putting the mud on and sanding it afterwards. I started with a 14” blade for my taped joints. I’m going to add the 7” for inside corners and tight spaces. If you struggle with finishing drywall, do yourself a favor and buy some of these skimming blades.

This little device made a big difference in the appearance of the wall and beams. I recommend this. Save time and money.

Makes you better
If you struggle with smoothness while hand troweling this blade will absolutely make you better from the moment you pick it up. It's a bit delicate but the flexibility of the blade is what makes it what it is. If you hate butt joints like I do then you must try this tool. It's the closest thing to using a box without investing in a box.
