Works great until it doesn't
I bought this 3 years ago, and up until last week it had been working flawlessly. Plug and plug, zero problems, great product. However, it has now stopped being recognised by windows after a day or so of usage. When it goes wrong, I need to unplug it at both ends, wait for a minute, then replug both ends to get it to reconnect. Very annoying.

Very good BUT!
The product when working is excellent BUT the power supplies they provide with it are not up to the job and fail after about 4 to 6 months. I now have two failed power supplies. Like somebody said, the only solution is to purchase a stronger PSU which is a pain.

2 failed within 6 months
Product theory works well. No lag, used with memory sticks, keyboard, mouse and headset. However sadly only lasts 2-3 months before failing. Amazon replaced twice and once it was just the power supply so I replaced that myself.

Perfect for extending USB devices
I had a need for a USB device that was around 40 to 50m away for the office that had the PC. I researched and found that there is too much of a voltage drop for this to be feasible using a USB extension so gave this a try. This does not connect to an ethernet network but rather has a direct ethernet cable between the two points. This allows for a very stable USB connection that could be up to 100m away and will still work effectively without any drop-outs.
