Attention getting color, hard slick back, grippy edges.
This is replacing a few Candyshell Grip cases. It was a tighter fit than the Candy Shell Grip cases. It just barely fits, with a Zagg glass screen protector. The back is slicker, than even the bare Candyshell cases. Slides easily into a pocket, but don't expect it to aid in grip. It will slide, if it is face up on an angled surface or something moving(like your car console). Edges have just enough grip. The Candyshell Grip is much more secure in the hand.Color. This thing is attention getting. The purple back is a little darker. The light blue edge is a touch more subdued/gray and is slightly translucent. The pink/salmon/orange accent color(also the liner) is weird. In some light and angles, it really pops. It is sometimes almost fluorescent. People have asked if it is glow in the dark.No problem with color bleeding. However, since the light blue edge is translucent, you can see a little bit of the underlying pink, especially at the corners.

Disappointed that the light blue on the edges is wearing ...
Disappointed that the light blue on the edges is wearing off after a very short time, so the orange from the front and purple from the back is "bleeding" into the blue edge. Loved the color combo when I got it and got lots of comments, but it looks old way too fast.

Replacing old Speck MightyShell- disappointed
Replacing another Speck MightyShell case. Last case 18 months old and started to crack at the corner- so AWESOME, the case is damaged from all my drops, but phone undamaged- just what you want in a case. That was the old case, now the new one. color are okay- the inner lining is neon pink-orange in the Amazon image you can see touches of this color in the logo and at the corners, but on the front of the case, this color trims the phone, don't love it but whatever. This case is different from the last in that it is substantially more rigid- almost annoying in rigid. The last one I had was white- I went this this to save $ as the white was more. The light blue is VERY hard/stiff, not a bad thing for protection I'd think, but once your phone is in there- expect a struggle to get it back out- this is where the case lost 2 stars- it's so stiff it can take me 5 mins of struggling to free my phone and it almost always ends up flying out (imagine a flying phone w/out a case) = issue. Why would I ever take it out- well if I'm working out, the case does not fit into any of my fitness bands- so the only way to use my super-awesome arm band is for the phone not to have a case. And as this is a daily event, it's a daily frustration. I have learned to take the phone out at night if I'm working out in the am first thing, as my 'old' hands really struggle with the extraction first thing in the morning, but are usually a bit more nibble at night. Which of course leaves the phone open to potential falls from the nightstand without a case... just saying. I never had this issue w/ my last Speck MightyShell- so I am disappointed. Had I never had a Speck MightyShell before, I might have rated this a 4-4.5 but in comparison, if this was my first one, I would look for a different product vs going with MightyShell again as I did.** from 3 to 1 star: Update just a few falls into the new case and my phone now needs to be replaced. The new phone gets an otter box- no question!
