Used this daily for 8 years before i finally replaced it. Never had any structural issues.... No tears in the lining, and the bag/strap were sturdy as ever. Zippers were still good. By the time I replaced it, the outer layer had flaked off the whole strap and a lot of the main body. I am not gentle with my purses so I can't really say how long it took for that process to start. I replaced it for purely cosmetic reasons.

I'm pleased with this purchase. The bag is as described - I was concerned about it being too big but it's a perfect size for a work tote and will hold a laptop if necessary, paperwork and other essentials. The metallic grey color isn't too garish, it's very pretty and goes with everything. It seems to be well made, simple and elegant.The ONLY issues I have with it are:- it would be nice to have two phone pockets that will accommodate bigger devices. My iPhone 6 doesn't sit well in the bigger pocket and neither will it go in sideways, so I can't use it for my phone. Since I have one personal and one work phone, it would be great to have pockets that hold both securely. As it is, I'm using the bigger pocket for things such as rail pass, work ID badge etc. The smaller pocket will only accommodate items like car keys, lipstick etc.- ideally, there should be an exterior pocket for keys or other quick-grab essentials.Otherwise this is a good bag.Quick note on the ODOR - I didn't notice one! Maybe other comments on the odor have been noted and the bags are aired out now before they're shipped, but there was only a faint smell of treated leather - nothing too bad at all.LEATHER? Yes, it's leather, you can tell by the grain - it's smooth but quite stiff, which is good because the bag stands nicely when it's been set down on the floor/table. It has been treated and of course colored, so it's not going to smell totally like natural leather - and when you look at the colors of these bags, you can see why!

I had purchased this same bag twice before, and keep coming back. The "soft hot silver grey" color is my favorite ~ it goes with absolutely everything! I tried the "soft hot blue" this time around, and like that color too, although it is just a tad brighter than I would personally prefer.Being a practical sort of person, I prefer to have one go-to bag that I don't have to change out often for different outfits or occasions (mostly business and casual). This perfectly fits that bill. It is large and sturdy enough that I can fit absolutely everything I need into it, yet continues to look slim and elegant, rather than bulky and clunky. It fits over my shoulder so I can hug it next to my body in crowded situations, and makes it easy to carry in any situation.I am not overly gentle with my bags; I just don't want to spend my time fussing and worrying that they will be marked/scraped/etc., although I am by no means rough with them, either. I replace them shortly after they begin showing noticeable signs of wear. For this purse, that tends to be on the straps (small cracks show up), and the corners where the stitching is (the leather veneer rubs away). I've replaced the bag both times between 18 and 24 months after purchase. For those less concerned about the appearance of the bag, I estimate that it would last much longer. For those more concerned, I would estimate that you would get at least a solid year of wear-free use.Overall, so far, this seems like a solid value for the money. For reference, I last paid $59.99, plus tax, in Dec. 2023. Prior to that, I paid $42.99 in March, 2022, and $51.99 in Oct. 2019 (I tried another bag between 2019 and 2022, but came back to this one). As of this writing, in May, 2024, they are selling for $69.99.

This bag is perfect! It is large, so I can carry absolutely everything. I am one of those people that has to have absolutely everything in my bag with me every day. It looks nice and clean. A soft, shiny-ish leather. Good for a practical girl, not necessarily someone who wants to be wearing designer purses everywhere. This one looks stylish enough.

I love the color and all the compartments! Easy to carry. I'd like more in other colors! Handles took a while to relax so they stay in a good position for picking up with one hand.
