These check the boxes! (So far).
These LED license plate lights are an easy install, are bright, and, best of all, available! Hard to find OEM housings for an eleven year old Escape anymore.The fit is a little loose in the liftgate, allowing some vibration, but less than other fittings I have used in the past.I countered the looseness by applying very small dots of silicone sealant to each corner of the lamps before final installation. Just enough to keep them in place, but still easily removable if need be.I also used "bulb grease" on the electrical contacts, as the 2008 - 12 Escapes have known issues with water intrusion.I would have given these 5 stars if the fit had been just a little more snug.

Impressive
Unjustifiably bright. Straight line on the ground of blinding light from these license plate lamps. They fit and work fantastic so far...update: both led lights gave out at the same time on a 30deg day 46 months after installation. I still ordered another set.
