Is this product bpa free and safe to you in a box freezer?

Yes it is BPA free and safe to use in a freezer. I use them in my freezer and they are great. Keeps everything so much more organized.

What are the inside dimensions? since the sides are tapered, the dimensions given are not clear.

The taper is not much. The ones I have look different but the inside dimensions are: Bottom is 12 1/8" X 8 3/8" top is 13" X 9 1/8" depth is 4 1/4" at the low spot 5 1/2 at the high the sides are roughly 1/8 thick and the bottom is 5/16" thick

Can you use to store clothes?

A little small unless you Mari Kondo your items (roll them/fold them) in a particular way. I use them in my pantry for potatoes :)
