Sturdy, small, secure and out of the way.
I bought one for my son’s old BMW and one for mine. They work great. They are all metal, stay in position and hold an iPhone securely. I would definitely buy again if needed. I like this location much more than the alternatives. It’s also really small and out of the way when your phone is not attached. Now the issues; the metal disc “sticker” they give you to stick onto your phone has a sharp edge to it. It’s obviously punch cut and is sharp. I didn’t realize until after I stuck it to my phone case and had a hard time trying to round off this edge. I eventually just used the extra disc that came packaged with it and rounded its edge on a sanding sponge before adhering it.The mount is held in place with 4 Allen wrench bolts that pinch the plastic bezel of the car. These do come loose after a while and are slightly difficult to tighten because they go in sideways, but it’s manageable. Then one should keep in mind that this position blocks the door unlock button and also has vents blowing directly onto your phone which may be an issue in winter with hot air blowing on a phone that may get warm on its own. Yeah, in bmw’s you can make those chest level vents blow hot or cold independent of the other vent locations, but people may forget?

Not MagSafe but quality is very good.
MagSafe barely works, I wouldn’t trust it. But they do provide small thin magnets that fit in between your phone and phone case. Or you can stick it to you case. When using the included magnets the phone is very sturdy and I don’t think it’ll go anywhere

Far exceeded expectations. This thing is fantastic.
I bought a couple other similar ones. They are all plastic clips that a weak and don’t hold well. This thing is solid metal all the way through. A little fiddly to get connected to the car, but is so solid I would easier pull the car trim off. Fantastic connection. Looks wise it is super low key and integrates well. Without a phone attached hard to see (and the ball itself is magnetic and pops off). Overall design is really well executed. The only drawback was that isn’t MagSafe. But since they include extra adhesive metal disks, I just stuck in the the back of another MagSafe adapter.Overall really well done. Made to last, unobtrusive, and they thoughtfully added extra screws, extra mounting plates, and even came in a. Stylish box.

Magnetic is not strong enough
I've read that some has had problems putting this on. To me it was easy to install, so that's a plus. My issue is the magnet isn't strong enough. I put my phone on it and it will stay in place but soon after I start driving it just slides down (worthless). I have a Pixel 8 pro so if you have a lite phone it might work fine for you. The bigger phones are a no go. Not worth the money in my book, would not recommend.

Exactly what I wanted!!
Easy to install had to find the Allen wrench in a junk drawer but it’s a breeze to installI just got a iPhone 16 and assumed upon install the holder would need nothing else but you will want to use the little metal dot that comes with it for it to mag tight to the holderI put mine on the outside of my case as to not damage the phone itselfOnly complaint is wish it had some sort of info in box on what the extra pieces are I didn’t realize it needed the metal dot to secure tightly and there’s some paper dots I assume to replace or repair the holder if neededBut I’ll never know lol

Difficult or nearly impossible to install
While the mount presents a perfect fit for the specified vehicle (mine was for a 2012 BMW 335i, E93), screwing in the holding screws is nearly impossible. You need to reach a very tiny Allen wrench into the dash vents, fit it into a very, very small Allen screw, and turn it 1/4 of a turn. You do this repeatedly until the screw goes in far enough to hold the mount, and you do this 4 TIMES, because there are 4 screws. In my case, while I was turning the second screw, I dropped the tiny Allen wrench…which is black….and small…onto black floor mats, over black carpet. Needless to say, the wrench is gone with the wind. I’ve tried but can’t find it. So, to remove the half-installed mount I needed to wrestle the screw off that I had already put on because the wrench is gone. Yes….I could have used my own set of Allen wrenches, but they are in a fold out set and will not reach into the vent to get into the screw head. Fortunately, I did not damage the wood grain dashboard panel.I would return the mount but I’ve already damaged it trying to get my phone mount onto it, so I’m using it as a lesson learned. Next time I’ll find a kid with tiny hands to assist.

Works better than I had anticipated!
Very easy to install, and the magnet is very strong, I have always avoided magnetic phone holders because majority of the time when driving my phone would fall off the magnet, I decided to give this a shot and I have been using it for 2 months now, it has a very clean finish, looks OEM and there hasn't been a single time where my phone had fell off, even with rough roads, and at high speeds exceeding 90 mph with bumps. Very satisfied and I would highly recommend it!
