Clean, completely silent at "0" , good size
This amplifier is compact and produces good clean power for full range speakers. Not brutally powerful but the sound it makes is dynamic and clear and it doesn't hiss at low volume like some switching amps do.

Still strong and clean
Over 4 years old and still pushing my JL C2 650 components and 2 way C1 6x9's cleanly and strongly. Never one issue. Small footprint, never gets hot after hours of play in TX.

Best amp for the buck.
The sound quality of this amp is second to none. It is way under rated on the wattage. I have the gains adjusted down to approximately 25% or less and this thing still rocks my boat! I don’t particularly like the wire connections on the amp. It made the install little more difficult but, for the price you really can’t beat it. Just make sure and get the correct size wire connectors and it will make the install much easier. The amp itself is small as compared to the amount of sound that it can produce. It doesn’t require a lot of room so it was easy to hide this amp in small areas. I would buy this amp again if needed.

Very Powerful for Its Size; Inconveniently Sized Terminals
First off, an amp from this series of Kenwood Excelon amps was bench tested by the youtube channel Williston Audio Labs. The results were that the amp was very underrated, producing considerably more power than the specs indicate. Then they opened up the amp and identified premium grade components that are typically not found in budget amps. So, on that alone a buyer could be rest assured that this a quality product at a truly bargain price. My personal experiences with this amp, while not involving bench testing equipment, have been a testament to this amp's capabilities. It produces a lot of power for its size. Currently it is pushing JBL GTO 6.5" components in the front and JBL Club 6x9 coaxials in the rear. I have to keep the gain at 10% --yes 10%-- just to allow some play in the volume. Otherwise, if I turn the gain up to 25% or higher, the volume gets uncomfortably loud before the volume knob is even at 25%.Of course, the rule of thumb is that the gain should be set so that audible clipping occurs with the volume knob at 75%. But that isn't even possible with this amp because it is producing so much power. As always, installation is critical. If you experience an output issue, I would first check all of the connections and ensure that the ground is proper, free of paint. And that leads me to my only concern: the power and ground connections on the amp. The manual isn't kidding when it says 10 gauge. But, what it doesn't tell you is that it's 10 gauge or smaller. In fact, the manual is somewhat misleading when it says "10 gauge or larger." The problem is that the terminals don't fit a ring terminal any larger than 10 gauge. An 8 gauge ring terminal simply won't fit into the terminal cage. When considering that most amp kits are either 4 or 8 gauge, this is a major inconvenience. I ordered an 8 gauge amp kit thinking that no 300 watt amp would have 10 gauge power and ground terminals. So, I ended up having to find a way to crimp a 10 gauge ring terminal onto 8 gauge wire. Not a big deal, but that was after needing to make a trip to the electronics store to buy 10 gauge ring terminals.Sound quality is crisp and clean. Power is in the order of plenty and then some. But installation is half the battle when it comes to car audio, and therefore I need to deduct 1 star when the installation is hampered by a nonsensical terminal size and inadequate warning about that predicament to boot. Also, I should mention the really fast shipping from the seller. And, even though the listing indicates "damaged box new," the box mine arrived in was without flaws. Everything was included. It was brand new with no exceptions in my case.

Kenwood quality in a small package.
First time I hooked a 4 channel amp to my speakers, & now I'll never go without one. This Kenwood Excelon amp is small so it will fit a lot of systems with limited space. For the money & quality of this amp you can't go wrong. This little 4 channel amp took my system to the next level.

Amazing Amp
This amp is absolutely amazing. You CANNOT go wrong with a Kenwood Excelon component. This amp is 50x4 RMS of CLEAN power. It will not distort at all, no matter how loud you crank it, and trust me, it puts out a lot of power. For $99 this is absolutely a STEAL and I cannot more highly recommend this product to you if you are looking for a 4 channel amplifier. With this amp I am pushing 4 Kicker 6 3/4" door speakers and it is extremely clean and powerful. You simply cannot go wrong with this amp.
