ECCOMen's Track 25 Hydromax Primaloft Insulated Plain Toe Boot Ankle

Expensive, but for good reason?
These boots from the outset seemed fairly expensive. Then I received them and strapped them on my feet. I now see what all the hullabaloo about Ecco boots was about! These things are durable on the outside, and over engineered for comfort on the inside. Not walking on clouds comfort, but a more realistic scaled down version of that sentiment. More importantly, SUPPORTIVE! not just of the ankle and foot for comfort, but supportive of the whole foot! Imagine if you will wearing a strapped pile of memory foam pillows on each foot. Cannot recommend them enough.

Great for day-to-day use (you don't have to hike)
I absolutely love these boots. I've been wearing different iterations of this boot since 2005, and they've consistently remained great and periodically improved. Full disclosure: I do NOT use them for hiking and I barely ever have. I much prefer sneakers for hiking, even in bad weather, just because these are so big, wide and heavy, and I rock scramble and walk around narrow ledges from time to time. So, I wouldn't want to have these on because they’re not particularly nimble and the traction isn’t always great if you actually hike in them.Instead, I wear these boots during my day-to-day travels. I put a pair of dress pants on top of them when I go into work or I wear jeans on top of them when I go out on dates, and they just look and feel fantastic. They even give me a couple extra inches of height. They're just dressy enough that, when they're covered by pants, they don’t look weird when they're not used for hiking. The Ecco boots that are designed to be dressy looking so they can be worn on a daily basis just aren't big, comfy tanks like this boot. These have great arch support, and they're roomy, and they’re good and durable. They last two, three or more years (depending on how much I use them).

Fantastic boot with a terrible change
I have worn the boots for many years and have been infinitely pleased with every aspect. However, they have changed them to include double hook/eyelets which makes them extremely difficult to tie. I would pay to get the old style back!!!

Ripped out in 4 months.
These lasted longer than the previous pair. They ripped out after 4 months instead of 3 months. Total junk. Ecco doesn't give a crap about my problem. You bought em.....you own em. They've got my money, I've got their crappy ripped out shoes. They leak water through the ripped out seams. They're junk made in China. Not worth the price. Ecco junk. China. Junk.

Ecco cutting quality but not price 😑
The weight of this shoe compared to my old Eccos noticeably lighter. Leather does not feel like it will put up with much. The laces are for a dress shoe. I can compress the insert easily between my thumb and finger, unlike the insert for my old ones making me wonder if I can so easily compress it, how is it supposed to give any kind of support with body weight on it? Really disappointed..

Not comfortable right out of the box
I have been wearing ECCO for 20 years or so. Every one before this one felt just right the first time, right out of the box. The only one that felt a little stiff is the YAK leather track II, but that now feels like all the rest of my ECCO boots and shoes. This new one has a tight toe box. Hopefully it will stretch a little, as all of my other ECCOs have. The heel strike is softer than my other ECCOs, and this is nice, but the rest of my foot feels like the inside of the shoe is uneven, making the overall feel somewhat uncomfortable. Being a bit taller than the my Track II (Track 25) it is more difficult to put on, but I expected that. The shoe laces are not the ECCO boot round (seem to last forever) laces, but rather dress shoe flat laces. I doubt these will last. In addition they are short, making it hard to tie. I like the look and the higher ankle probably will give added ankle support. No problem walking even with the higher ankle. It is the lack of comfort and tight toe box (width, not length) that is a let down. I wanted a black shoe and the non mid boot Track II/25 was/is not available in black. I expected these mid-boot Track 25s (says mid on the box) to fit and feel like my other Track II/25 boots, but they don't. Not even close.I purchased mine from ECCO, but see they are now available on Amazon.

This is the worst wearing Ecco I’ve ever owned.
The quality of this shoe has been cheapened compared to the dozen of pairs of Ecco shoes I’ve owned in the passed both high & low. No Gortex. The sole & upper is not the quality of passed Ecco’s.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money. For the price, this boot is very uncomfortable and more cushion. I expect more because of the name. Not worth the money.

Good winter shoes
It's way more snow in Lithuania than expected this winter, so I'm very happy with purchase. At first shoes seemed a bit narrow when wearing with winter socs, but after wear in they just holds foot tight, what's good on slippery sidewalks.

Klare Kaufempfehlung.
