I'm no pro welder but I do bust mine out regularly for exhaust work and other misc repairs. My unit is just a basic Harbor Freight 90A unit and I absolutely loathe their house brand wire. Dealing with constant jams/slips in the wire feed so of course the welds looked like garbage. This wire virtually eliminates that and don't have to worry about keeping the torch lead cable nearly perfectly straight while I'm working. Typically only use it at the Min setting and weld penetration and temp is much higher too. Just have to be careful on thin gauge steel as it may be more pertinent to blow-through.Haven't tried many other brands so can't say how it compares to the big name stuff but I'm very satisfied with the results.

I ordered this to give it a try since it was inexpensive, plus the fact a 1 pound spool purchased locally is $20 in my area. As I said, I ordered since it was 2 pounds and my 120 volt/90 amp welder can handle that spool weight.This stuff is great wire! The only adjustment I had to make was the wire speed by slowing it down SUBSTANTIALLY! This stuff burns hot! I've been welding 1/4" plate and loving it! I will be ordering again soon!

Your probably like me and freaked when you seen how high welding wire is getting in the store, so you decided to buy on Amazon! ( am I right?) this is a very good bang for your buck!! I’ve welded quite a few items since I received these in the mail, and haven’t had any issues with my welds!
