Tire bead easily removed
As I get older and the tire technology advances, it is getting harder to break the bead connection on my bike tires. I bought this to try out and it has proven an effective tool to dislodge even the most difficult tires from the rim. Tubeless tire/rim connection with sealant can be difficult to remove with my slowly weakening grip. This tool lets me continue to repair my own tires. I know it is pricey, but is saving my hands from damage and pain.

Does just what I needed it to do. Shame it was so expensive but it works. Wife is happy the tire doesn't "thump" or wobble any more - grin...

Big and heavy and finally solved my problem
After months of trying off and on to remove the tire from my 27.5" wheel, this tool finally did the trick of getting a very stubborn bead off the wheel. Nothing else (plastic tire spoons, butter knives, isopropyl alcohol, stepping on the tire with my foot) worked. While this tool isn't cheap, I'm sure it will last the rest of my life and, after all, going to a bike shop would have cost as much or more. I'm pleased!

The park tool PTS-1 tire wrench is not worth the price of $60.00. The tool appears to be of Chinese manufacturing quality. It also appears to worth not more than $10.00.

Does the job
Purchased some tires for a gravel bike that were very hard to get fully seated, had to do the soap trick, kinda worked but messy. Finally rotated the tires, front to back and back to front of course, haha and used the tool to great success. Glad I got it.

Does what it says on the tin. Sturdy enough to use as a melee weapon. Comes with a ridiculous proposition 65 warning. I guess it could cause reproductive harm if you shoved it where it doesn’t belong. But then, this is ‘Murica.

Was not very helpful working with mountain bike tires.
I bought a pair of new folding mountain bike tires (Panaracer Fire XC Pro TR Folding Tires, 26 x 2.10-Inch, Red). After installing, I thought my rims were warped. But upon closer look, I discovered the tires were not seated properly. I decided to buy this Park Tool PTS-1 Tire Seating Tool (It was on sale) in hopes that it would do the job as advertised. On first try with tires inflated, this tool did nothing except give me concern about the sandpaper surface marring my new tires. I tried deflating a bit and the tool really couldn't grip the tire anymore to accomplish anything. I then tried applying some soapy water. This helped greatly. However, it seemed that I had the most success when I simply inflated and deflated the tire slowly and worked on the difficult portions of the tire by hand. I believe the soapy water was the best tool I used. I'm not sure how much this tool actually helped. My forearms definitely got a workout though. I can't recommend this tool.
