I ordered a size up and it fit perfectly. The material is thin but it has pleats and a zipper. It is very short but is as described and only worn as a costume and not in public.

My wife is 5'3" and 110 pounds. Medium is perfect and there is a bit of elastic give at the waist. The quality is nice too. Hem is sewn straight. The print on the top waste band actually blends in with the bottom. Great costume.

I ordered this for my girlfriend to wear just for fun and it was perfect.
