Good for beginners
If you are just practicing or beginning this is great not sure it would be good for professional artists but great price and if you don’t get it right it really doesn’t matter

Paper difficult to work with
This watercolour sketchbook is reasonable value for money, but not without issues. First the good points. The design and manufacture is good with a strong and open-coiled wire spine that holds the pages securely and allows the book to be opened flat. The handy perforations offer an easy way to remove any page for framing, discarding or whatever. The problem lies in the paper. The weight is good and does not buckle much in use. However the tooth is very rough and as another reviewer has already noted is clearly visible in many finished sketches. The biggest issue for me is the absorbency of the paper which creates a fuzzy edge around objects painted wet-in-wet. The paint does not stop cleanly at the wetted area but slowly seeps outward to form a fringe. This makes it difficult, but not impossible, to achieve clean, smooth edges. Also lifting out can be problematic. If you lift using a damp brush without scrubbing, you're OK. Scrub using a stiff lifting brush or rub with an SAA Magic Eraser and you remove not only the paint but the surface of the paper resulting in a total mess.I have not tried using masking tape or masking fluid with this paper, but fear the removal of either is likely to damage the surface, and the marked tooth of the paper may not provide a reliable seal with tape.So you pays your money and makes your choice. It's not bad value for money if you're prepared to accept these limitations and work around them as best you can. And after all, it is a cheap sketchbook - not premium quality paper for producing your latest "masterpiece".

I'm an artist and this is perfect for watercolours!
Amazing paper pad. I used this during my university course and it works really well with watercolour paints. It holds the water and doesn't dry too quickly so i have some time to blend or add colour while it is still well. Good thickness and not too textured where it will make it hard to paint simply lines, but still a good texture. Highly recommend!
