Folds reasonably small (like an accordion). I like it.
I drive for a parts company and they require a brace. The company supplies them but I wanted my own. I live in Florida and a breathable mesh brace appealed to me. I got the large and it is WIDE. Be sure to check that if you have a short torso (or a big belly). .The edge binding seemed to get roughed up with the velcro. I reinforced it with elastic. Heck, I added secret compartments and a leather wallet. I added a place for a pencil and pen front and center, for frequent signatures. I did a pocket for cell phone/keys, or just candy bar wrappers. I don't usually work with a cell phone or keys in there...but the pocket is handy going to and front the car. You can have the belt around your waist but NOT tighten the outer straps,,,when you do not need them. It does roll a tad, and the velcro if not perfectly matched, may tend to "pill" e.g. "snag" shirts. The velcro is strong. I am happy with my purchase. I may use it for travel since I have a hidden wallet. They sure could not get to it without the distinct rip of velcro sound. The "corset back brace" will be great for gardening (handling bags of mulch), setting up my Clam shelter or when I hitch up the RV.I wear the brace driving for five hour shift...and unless you put it on super duper tight, have never bothered me. I don't like "girdles" pressing on my stomach. I love how adjustable the brace is. There is one set of straps that hold it in place, then there are straps with an elastic band that cinch in the belt tighter. Both sets are "infinitely" adjustable...withing the size range. Some things to note..1) there are mixed reviews on whether a corset back brace is effective. It is about 50/50. Whether they offer support. 2) THEY cannot be used to make you safely pick up a higher than normal load. what they can do is possibly shift the load so it is distributed on more of the spine. and 3) they should not be used for more than a few hours at a time. LIKE four. Really should work on strengthening muscles. The "comfy me" patch may NOT be in the center...depending on your size.I cannot say it does ANYTHING whatsoever for your back. I have been hurt 3 times in two months at the job. woke up with a sore back...last time it was two full weeks of pain. I am more careful now. and I gave notice...I bought the brace because I was required to wear one.

When you have back pain, you want this on your all day long
Unfortunately, I hurt my back on a somewhat regular basis due to stress. I gained 20 lbs in the last 2 years, so the one I had didn't fit me any more, and I had to get a bigger size. You know what - TOTALLY worth the price. This gives you a LOT of support without being a total pain to wear, just when you need it.There's no way you can wear this and look fashionable or good, so if that's what you're looking for, go to the next product. If you're looking for a back brace because you did "something" to your back (you know what I'm talking about), you want this sucker. I am so so so glad I bought one! I wore it for a week. I literally couldn't do my life without it that week.

It helps me, yay!
I've been pretty happy with this back brace. I don't have severe back pain, just daily and persistent. I bought this before moving, since I was worried about throwing my back out with heavy lifting. I don't wear it for long periods of time, but I will sometimes wear it even when I don't have pain, since it helps my posture. I like the way it fastens with 4 straps, which makes it easy to adjust the fit as desired. That makes it easier to get comfortable too. I was worried it would be too hot, but so far it has not bothered me. I'm a dress size 14 and was unsure about what size to order. I eventually went with the LARGE since other reviewers have stated that it is very adjustable, and I agree - there is plenty of room for me to (hopefully) get smaller. It's a little bit scratchy against bare skin, but nothing you can't get used to. I've worn it under clothes and over, and it can create some unsightly bulges or bumps (since I'm not skinny) - I would definitely not wear it with tight-fitting clothes. It leaves little red marks on my skin after I take it off, but they are minor and to be expected. I sort of wish it were a little wider in the front so it flattened more of my chubby belly, but I know it's a back brace, not a girdle! :) Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would make it again. This is my first time buying a brace of any kind and I would recommend ComfyMed to others.

Size designations misleading!
I probably would have given the ComfyMed Back Brace 5 Stars were it not for what I consider a terrible job of sizing and labeling. Using their sizing guideline I originally ordered a Reg (regular) and upon arrival found it to be a marginal fit at best. I do have to clarify here that their customer service is outstanding! Anyway, I ended up reordering a Lge (large) and upon arrival found it to be too big.The sizing difference between the Reg and the Lge is in my opinion quite drastic. In fact the size designation should be Small and Huge.If you're a small person the Reg would probably work fine. If you're a big person the Lge will probanly be OK. If you're an average sized individual, I'm 5' - 9", 163#, then you might want to be looking elsewhere.
