Life-saver
I have the worst ADHD and wasn't diagnosed until adulthood. This book as been more useful for me probably than my prescribed meds, if I'm being honest. I've not even finished the entire thing; big surprise, right?? I dont do these things in chronological order, that's my ADHD...and thanks to this book, I realize now that there is nothing wrong with doing things that way, it's just how I digest information best.Ive underlined and highlighted so so much of this book, it's wild. It is very validating to learn that many struggles are part of my ADHD and not just me being a failure of a person. But don't buy the book for validation; buy it because it is full of information and coping mechanisms that, if put into practice, make like more bearable, less daunting, less overwhelming. There are exercises/challenges to do at the end of each section, because it's important to DO things to learn rather than simply reading, particularly with attention span issues! And because all brai s are different, so these exercises help you realize the unique features of YOUR own ADHD so you can adjust your habits accordingly. No, my life isn't fixed now, every day is a massive challenge and it sucks, frankly. But I'm really glad I found this book; it sucks a bit less now.

Helpful for me- well done- easy to...focus on?
Funny story. - I was driving to pick up my adhd meds when this book was delivered to me.... ADHD trip. Lol.Overall, I like this book. I'm new to ADHD- I was diagnosed 6 months ago. For me, it's a good book. I can imagine that for someone who had been aware of their ADHD and had been working to build skills -this may not be as effective? I'm not sure. But there are exercises in this book that I'm finding helpful as I'm still in my exploratory phase of, "oh that's why I do that!" Or, "wait, wtf that's an adhd thing?!" So keep that in mind if you're trying to decide. He has a "Takeaways"- passage at the end of every chapter which is, [chef's kiss] - so helpful! He gets me...us. -I do get distracted while I'm reading- I'm not sure if that will ever go away- but there's clearly an effort in the way the book is laid out to maintain your focus. I studied layout and design- so I appreciate this small feature. Not all books are like this. Also weird-but the texture of the book is awesome. Don't ask me why. It's plastic... but like...idk, I pet my book a lot.Glad I bought it IRL and not the other audio/digital versions.

Some good strategies
Some good tips.A bit judgemental and blaming in places so book would be most suitable for ADHD people who have reasonable self confidence and who are ready to make changes in their lives
