Bike components range greatly in costs and at times to diminishing returns. I needed a shorter stem for my Cyclocross bike and did not want to drop $60-70. Found this one and it is excellent; material, construction, fit, finish....it is solid from a reputable company too. Bit on the heavy side but I am ok with that...it holds my 760 wide bars fine and above all has held up through a few hundred miles now without fail. I'd buy it again.

Looks good and I’ve had no problems with it. I’m learning so I can’t tell if it performs well at a very aggressive level but it has been strong through small and medium jumps/drops and a lot of crashes

The face plate kind of sticks out from the edges of the rest of the stem, it's designed that way so there's no sharp edges, but it's kind of ugly. Other than that very nice looking and good price to quality ratio.

This is a very burly and tough stem. It fits perfect and looks nice, and also is sturdy with a good grip on the bars. Do note that what you receive is a 60mm and not the 40 as shown in the picture, but it makes no big difference to me because I just wanted to be able to ride again.

Very well made, strong beefy headset for a decent price. Not lightweight.

I bought this to put on my Breezer 29er hard tail. There is a noticeable improvement in handling that gives me more confidence in going downhill. the part feels solid and the bolts are strong. It arrived on time. I have tried cheaper short stems that start o creak during climbs. This one is pretty solid.

I purchased a Specialized HardRock Sport Disc 29'er 2013 model in 2012, I used it mostly for fire road riding and training. After putting about 1000 miles on the bike, I started using it for more intense XC and light AM riding. I decided that the stock stem and handlebar setup would no longer work, my arms were fatiguing too fast during rough descents, so I chose to go with wider bars and a shorter stem.After doing a bit of research, this steam seemed like the right choice:Very strongWeight is OK (nothing special)Looks sexyPerfect lengthSince I have been using it, I have been very happy, I feel like I have much better control over the bike. It is extremely stiff and just feels solid.I am using it with the matching handlebars.Some people online are complaining that this stem is loose and won't retighten after some use, but I have abused this thing and it is still as tight as the day I purchased it.

Pour remplacer une potence "classique" en 100mm , j'ai commandé la Truvativ Hussefelt en 60 mm .La potence est de très bonne manufacture , elle est robuste et ( idéal pour les pratique freeride/descente ... ) les finition sont excellente . La taille 60mm permet d'avoir une meilleur maniabilité et un meilleur confort de pilotage.
