Remember to use hardened metal wire cutters for this!
1.2mm is a little on the thick side, for RC planes you will probably be fine with 1mm or even 0.8mm (depending on the size of the control surface). Servo control arms aren't much wider than 1.2mm, so be extra careful when enlarging the hole (a sharp drill bit turned by hand worked really well for me).If you don't use specialized hardened metal wire cutters, your cutter's cutting edge can get dulled or dented rather quickly.
