Doesn't work on smaller units and sits AC unit at least 2-3 inches off the window sill leaving a huge gap.
Not for smaller units. They do say this a few times but I assumed that the stronger the better. The mount is way too long for smaller units and doesn't do a good job balancing the unit for thosesmaller units.The reason I gave it a 3 star is that it sits your ac unit at least 2-3 inches off the baseboard leaving a HUGE gap at the bottom that must be filled. It doesn't work well on window sills that are flat or slightly curved downward. I've never seen the type of window that they show in the example.

Horrible! don't waste your money
The instructions were complete crap and so is this piece of junk support bracket. I spent 2 1/2 hours trying to get this thing to fit and install and work. No way was this going to install in my window. First off its instructions are useless, second the screw that they ship with it are huge #14 four inch cheep screws that striped out when I tried to screw them in. And I had drilled pilot holes before hand. I now have 7 new holes in my window ledge sill and ledge! Thirdly, the hardware is not easy to work with... it's all metric and unless you have metric Alen head wrenches on hand you'll be off to the hardware store. Fourth, the brackets are damn confusing and assembled backwards. So I had to completely take it apart and switch everything around again so that it was correct. So unhappy now! this thing isn't worth the money even at half the price! I was hopeful that it would work but it's total Crap people! Don't waste you time and money! If I could have given this piece of &#!* no star I would have!

Purchased these because my husband felt that our AC units were damaging our window sills. They were a) inexpensive and b) quickly shipped so they seemed perfect. We crossed our fingers and hoped..We are very pleased. Easy to install (the built in level makes them so much easier than trying to use a level and install anything else).

Got the job done, but is meant for a larger AC unit than I was using.

East install, works great.
Easy to install. My 15,000 BTU AC came with two small brackets, but I wanted this for peace of mind. It actually made sliding in the AC easier as it had the bar of this bracket to rest on the whole way.

Durable bracket that does the job
Very well made. Does the job perfectly. Installation was fairly simple.

Not very sturdy and bent easily during installation. But it is holding the air conditioner up so can't complain a whole lot. Just looks a little bent.
