Just got into waterfowl hunting a few years ago, and all I owned in the Canada Goose department was a cheap and easy to blow flute call. I was hunting with a friend who owned a $180 short reed Canada Goose call that sounded so awesome (much nicer than my cheap flute call), so I looked into buying one and found this had some great reviews and decided to take the chance to see if this could sound like my buddy's fancy call for closer to $25 instead of $180. I am VERY impressed! This call sounds just as good as my buddy's expensive short reed. It is very loud and sounds great. It was relatively easy to learn how to use, and I can make a much wider variety of calls as compared to my flute call. Looks durable and well made. Definitely recommend this call.

This call is great for the price. I also have a pacfic calls 509 and it was $115, this call sounds just as good. its great from soft clucks and feed calls all the way to comeback calls and light geese honks. this is a great call espically for beginers. easy to blow in expensive durable water proof and easy to take apart and put back together. its air tight easy to clean, Also great for doing loud comeback calls to get the geese to come in. I switch to my more expensive call with more range once I can get them to cup into my decoy spread.

I order two calls at the same time, one very expensive call and one cheap I would definitely say this call was almost as good a little harder to break over but will definitely be back when its time for a new one.

My grandson needed this to his collection. He loves it.

Great call for the price. The call is a bit difficult to "break over", meaning it won't sound right until you break it in. Try blowing in it pretty hard until it starts sounding like a goose.

Maybe I’m too inexperienced, but this thing seems tough to work. It breaks over too easily. I have to create a bunch of backpressure with my hands to keep it in check. Buddy of mine has a goose flute that is far easier to get usable sounds with.

This is a well made call. It has a good sound and was at a great price point.

I have owned several of the gander hammer calls by Buck Gardner. They are good right out of the box and I always end up giving them to other callers and people interested in calling.
