I see this is mounted in front of the camera rather on the hot shoe. Does this pose a problem shooting or covering some of the functions?

Can it be connected to the D810 with the big Tamron 24-70 lense ? This lense is so big that it leaves little space around the 10-pin connector.

Can you lock the shutter button down for continuous shooting mode?
