Cannot leave home without it! My wife calls this her "secret weapon" in our war on baby terror. This toy functions as a rattle, hand/eye coordination development aid, chew toy, utility hooks, and parental sanity aid. Our baby likes to suck on it while playing, so it's reassuring it's BPA free & Phthalate compliant according to sassybaby website. Of all the toys and rattles, this is by far my 4 months old baby's favorite. Whenever she starts to fuss or cry while we're out, we just jiggle this in front of her, and its soft clacking sound and bouncing colors always calm her down immediately. It's amazing how fascinated she is by this toy! It also has a lot of surface to easily grasp by (one-handed or two) and varied textures (some rings are lumpy, some smooth, some ribbed). You can also interlock the rings into a chain as an alternative form of toy or utility hook (be careful it doesn't become a strangulation hazard). It's also compact enough to fit in a pocket or stroller cup holder. To keep the baby occupied during meals out, we mount it dangled above the baby on the carrier/stroller handle using a looped pacifier strap like Ulubulu Universal Pacifier Clip, Oliver Owl or Velcro strap Velcro Reusable Self-Gripping Cable Ties, 0.5 Inches x 8 Inches Long, Black, 100 Ties per Pack (91140) . If the baby's holding the toy instead, a pacifier strap can also clip to the bib to avoid the toy dropping on the floor. The baby and wife love this toy so much, I just bought another 2 to keep existing the one at home, one in the car, and one in the diaper bag. Of course, your particular baby may have differing tastes, but no fancy projector, sound machine, smartphone app, etc. may save your sanity and public crying baby embarrassment as quickly and easily as this ~$4 toy. Alternatives: Manhattan Toy Winkel is another great toy (baby's second favorite for grasping, staring at, and sucking) and has a soft built-in rattle, but is bulky and not as useful to hush the crying baby. To prevent the baby getting bored of the ring toy, we have her play instead with the Winkel at home. An actual rattle like Bright Starts Rattle and Shake Barbell Rattle is louder, but fails to hold my baby's attention for more than a second, and is very limited in graspable area. It may be good for an older baby, but for now, just sits at home unused. Different vendors have similar toys, some with even more rings, but none seem to have BPA & Phthalate info. Babies love putting everything in their mouths, so we try to seek only toxin-free.

Got these for my new baby nephew, and he absolutely loves them. The multiple different textures for each of the rings really interests him. He can hold it pretty easily and the design is very friendly. I think they make great teething toys.

Another toy that has been a perennial favorite for my child from age like 2 weeks to now at age 4.5. We actually bought a second set of links because these have been so popular. They have held up very well and haven’t stretched out and not a single one has broken despite them being used over and over and over. I give these as gifts at almost every baby shower I go to because they are so good.

I may like these more than my baby!! But seriously these are great! Its a toy and more! I use the links to attach toys to baby's bouncer or car seat or anything, so toys won't fall on the ground. Its cute, colorful, and textured, so baby likes it too. I love this brand too.

Mais vraisemblablement c son préféré sans doute de part ses couleurs vives et captivantes puis le diametre des anneaux est parfait pour ses petites mains. Elle s'éclate à le secouer et aime le porter en bouche. Vraiment j'ai hésité au debut et quand je vois comment Ca l'occupe je regrette de ne pas lui avoir pris plutot. C'est la premiere fois qu'elle s'intéresse à un jouet les autres ne sont là que pour la deco...

I bought this for my 3 month old baby, it was one of the first things he was able to grab hold of and keep a tight grip of as the rings are a perfect size for small fingers. The different colours grab his attention, and he will follow it with his eyes when i jangle it in front of him. My friend has a baby a few months older, and on a play date he also loved the rings and was holding one in each hand and chewing on another. I ended up letting him keep it and have ordered another as he was enjoying it so much and was obviously helping his little gums too! I didnt think it looked like much, but it's a great toy for babys who seem to enjoy holding the different textures, and then moving onto chewing on them!! They're also good for cliping things onto the pram/buggy hood, great inexpensive toy.

My baby loves these. They are sturdy, easy to sterilize and you can add all kinds of other toys to the chain. We use it on our bouncer chair kind of like a tether to keep toys off the floor and in easy reach of the baby. The different textures are also a hit with a teething baby.
