Heavy. Shiny. What did you expect?
Unlike some of the complaints I see in the reviews, mine arrived in perfect condition. The finish is very good - they're listed as G100 and that appears to be correct.I'm just using this as desktop toy.I removed the shipping oil and hit it with some paste wax.

Keeps Its Shine
Nice, heavy and keeps its shine. So far no rust or tarnish.

The steel ball looks nothing like the picture.
I bought this bearing for a display, relying on the photo. It looks nothing like the photo. The finish looks like it was done with 200 grit sandpaper. I'm not returning it, because it is steel and it is round, and would probably be serviceable as a ball bearing. Maybe I'll shop around for a four pound cannon so I can use it.2/11/21 - this is a photo of what I received.

Would definitely recommend
This thing is huge!!! And it's perfect no blemishes whatsoever!!! Had a little packing oil on it to keep it from rusting witch is normal, it's a bearing remember!!! And very easy to wash off with soap and water Definitely going to buy the 5 inch lol

Not Chromed
This ball has not been chromed, Just polloished so don’t get it wet it will stain and probably rust if given time.
