My Recon lives again.
So far so great. Easy to do and not only did it bring my Recon back to life but it feels stronger than ever. It can even pop a wheelie now. It never did that before. Yay!

Update on broken piston..../ replacement
There are no valve seals in my kit. And there are no piston rings in my kit. Someone really was not paying attention to quality control!! Now another week before my daughter can ride her 4 wheeler...UPDATE.Replacement was shipped same day as claim. Arrived on time and free return on first kit.Took a couple hours to replace on motor. Started right up and haven't had any issues so far in about 2 hours of run time after break in period. Had a few small puffs of smoke but I believe it's still getting broken in and everything seated tight. BTW the numbers cast into the replacement kit match oem Honda numbers. Would recommend for sure! No more smoke or fouled plugs.

Good Kit
Installed on my 04 Honda TRX 250 TE. My only suggestion is replace the oil pump and chain while you are there. Easy replacement since you are that fat into it. ATV runs perfect with these parts.

Solid top end honestly. Gap the rings properly and you will have no issues. For the money it’s fine. If I were going for a long term solution, bore your oem cylinder with an oem piston / wiseco. This will get you going in a bind. I cannot say the long term durability, but I think it goes without saying it will not be Honda oem durability.
