Stop raising the price on 8 oz metal tins! I used to purchase solely from you! No more
I had been very pleased with the 8 oz 24 pack of metal tins with lids for $24.99. Of course they went up a dollar more to $25.99 and I still ordered because they are good tins, even though at least one tin would be dented in every box. I got a huge candle order in for almost 300 candles. I went back to order, just two days after I placed my last order, and it went up to $26.99. You got greedy. I will by my bulk elsewhere. See ya!

Good value 8 oz. tins
Perfect size/diameter for soy-based candles with 1/2" wooden wicks. Also good with thicker cotton/hemp wicks, but thinner wicks may require doubling up for optimal melt pool.Have ordered these three times, and so far-so good. No dents or scratches, despite minimal packaging. Great results and as expected. 2.75" round labels fit lids perfectly. Lids are tight fitting, although not air or water tight. Would not use these for food storage without sterilization, as they are clearly coated in mineral oil out of the package.

Meh
So they are the right size... but they come with some kind of coating inside. The wick won’t stick- so I had to clean the inside with alcohol before sticking the wick FYI.

there is now protection between tins, but now there are dented tins in the middle of the box,,
I started making candles and got to the 3rd layer and there were dented tins. No box damage, not signs of outward damage at all. I have to conclude it was loaded this way. since I used 6 tins prior to finding the damage, I could not return for refund. Anyone buying these beware of some loss if you want .

Awesome tins for candle making!
I started making and selling affordable candles several months ago and these were the first vessels I purchased to pour my candles in. They are 8 ounces total, but hold about 6 ounces of wax comfortably with the wick a proper length (1/4") and the lid still fitting - which fits snuggly. The tins don't get too hot while the candle is burning which is perfect and scorch marks are non-existent or minimal if you position the wick off-center or put the lid over it to put out the flame. I've been able to clean the tins out and reuse them. I haven't had any issues with the candles burning in them. The width is perfect for an even burn with 1 candlewick and I've gotten 35-50 hours of burn time for candles poured in these tins which is awesome given the amount of wax!I've had a few that had minor dents, but nothing that prevented them from being used. One customer noted them, assuming it was from shipping, but also didnt' mind since it didn't affect how it rested on a surface or how it burned. I think the per unit price is slighlty high if you're looking to order large quantities, I'm guessing it's due to purchasing on Amazon vs. direct from the supplier as I've found glass vessels that are lower cost.If you're looking to use these for hobby candlemaking, I would highly recommend them.
