A wonderful book, written for the right reasons
Admission. I'm not the target market. I'm a grown-up who also writes books about wellbeing and mental health, so I read Marcus' book as a way of assessing the competition. I can safely say that Marcus and the team have done a fantastic job of writing a book that absolutely hits the mark. A couple of massive plus points:Firstly, as you'd expect, Marcus comes across as a thoroughly nice person. His motivation to be the best footballer on the planet is basically to make his mum proud. That made me grin.Second, he acknowledges his failings and failures. Even better, Marcus suggests they're an inevitable part of the journey.Nice layout. Easy to read. Great message. Humble throughout. Lovely bloke. What's not to like?x

My kid got up this morning, got dressed, made breakfast for his siblings, and packed their lunch.
My 9 year old got up this morning, got dressed, made breakfast for his siblings, and then packed their lunches.Correlation does not imply causation, but he did start reading this book yesterday and fell asleep reading it last night. Possibly he was abducted and replaced by aliens, but the book seems the most obvious answer. Or witchcraft. Could be witchcraft.Anyway, 10/10 would buy again. Will make the others read it too.

Everyone should read this book!
Whether you really are 9-11 years old or 55 and act like a 9 year old.... READ THIS WONDERFUL BOOK! Most of us needed much more from the parenting we got. This book might make a difference however 'old' you are. Afterall, we're all still trying to find our way.

Superb read……..
I purchased this book for my 9 year old son, who is in fact a Liverpool fan.He is an avid reader, and was gripped from the start.Exceptionally clever writing makes it extremely relatable to the target audience. Instantly, my son noted that Marcus liked Cocoa Pops and liked learning to play the guitar (both of which are favourites of my son). The book helps to inspire the future generation, not only in football, but just being themselves. Portraying key message’s that being yourself is more than good enough and reassuring children that is ok to make mistakes and not initially succeed. It’s the failings in life that make us even hungrier for the the things we aspire to achieve the most!Motivational, inspiring and uplifting read for young readers.Well done to Marcus and his team.

The ultimate role-model to all of our children.
I bought this book for my son. He is reading it at the moment. We need more young men like Marcus Rashford.
