Nice basic drive
I am writing this to help answer some questions some may have.Yes this drive absolutely works on a mac. I have used it successfully many times now on mac mini/latest OS.No this does not have any mac software included. Bluray is not built into mac Os. You will need software to watch or rip etc. i have made mkvs with no issue.Yes this comes with a usb-3 to usb-c cable. But i use my own usb-c to usb-c cable with no issue. No other power cable is needed but you need usb-c port on your computer. I have used the included cable but i prefer usb-c as it delivers more power than 3.0.If you just want to be able to watch a movie, you need to buy software on mac. No other drive you will look for will come with any. Try a google search for blu ray player software for mac.It is fast and quiet. Plastic, looks metal. So far so good. I will update reliability as i use it. My past 2 drives were LG and they didn’t hold ip well.I am pleased so far. Shipping was insanely fast.

Works well with my MacBook Pro
I replaced my old Pioneer XD05B Blu-Ray drive which stopped working after a couple of years with this one. This drive is quieter and feels much more well-built although the body is plastic. It's a bit thicker than the XD05B. I only use it to play regular Blu-Ray movies on my MacBook and works great so far. Hope this one lasts longer.

Supero mis expectativas !
Llego antes de tiempo, muy rápido. los materiales son muy resistentes y bien hechos. Vale su precio. Obvio para Mac necesitas una aplicacion aparte para ver peliculas BluRay, hay que bajar una buena app, por que con aplicaciones gratis o chafas jala mal el dispositivo y hace mucho ruido. Recomiendo: BluRay Player Pro. Tambien quema a una velocidad media lenta pero excelente. Totalmente recomendado
