I freeze steak, salmon, cod, chicken thighs, and homemade bread with these, typically for a couple weeks but sometimes for over a month. I have been using these for months and they work very well for preserving food without compromising flavor or safety. I love the slide closure so I don’t have to worry about the bag opening or missing part of the seal like on a press-to-close plastic bag

I actually ordered these by mistake, as I wanted the regular gallon freezer bags. They're pretty good, though the fact that the opening is not as large because of the zipper slide ends can be a little annoying. But if the zipper slide is what you like, then these will do the trick. They do seem to hold out air as well as the regular ones.

Did not know I was getting a CASE of these but they will last me (age 78) the rest of my life!!!!!!
