Cowles Body Molding - 2in x 16ft Chrome Molding For Trucks (S38900)

I was able to get the chrome grille look I desired. Make sure to properly clean the surface before application and do all the trimming prior. Once its on it’s hard to get back the same stickiness. But overall the product looks good and works well.

I used this to cover up weather-damaged stripping on the roof of my 2008 Infiniti G37. Beautiful improvement. Easy to apply and cut to length. I’m very pleased.

Positives: The material has a nice finish and a wide, low-profile shape. Some "black" plastics can be quite gray, but this was a good black. The molding is made of very durable dense material. The adhesive was very strong. I cleaned the paint with isopropyl alcohol before applying the new molding.Negative: This molding is very hard to cut. It can be cut straight by hand with a utility knife or with tin snips. If you can find smooth-edge tin snips you can get decent curved cuts. I don't think good half-round end cuts are possible with a knife. I'm lucky to have access to a milling machine to cut the round ends perfectly.I have included a photo of my 24-year-old, rusty Ford moldings and one with the new moldings attached. Looks great. It was good that this molding is about 1/4" wider than the original, as some paint peeled off with the old molding. I used one package (16 feet) to do my truck as pictured. Virtually none left over!Overall, I am very happy with this product.

Good quality and easy to mold and press into place. Nice accessory for visual upgrades.
