Broke on second wrap first time using it. Would return but waited to long to use for the first time.

FIrst off, this is NOT cast iron as described. The product description repeatedly highlights CAST IRON (insinuating that it's a strong, solid construction) and shows images of a very black product that appears to be cast iron.In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. I could tell as soon as I picked up the box at my front door and realized how light it was that this product wasn't as advertied.This is cast from cheap white pot metal that has no strength at all. The handle snapped off at the base while I was pressing my very first tortilla with it. It wasn't excessive pressure as the tortilla wasn't even half pressed at that point, and it was a very soft corn dough, not a heavy elastic four dough.Don't waste your money on this. Spend the extra and get a good product instead.

Broke after 2nd use - handle snapped clean off. As this was after 30 days and bought through the global store I’ve been denied a refund.

My wife is from Mexico and she runs a restaurant. This press is one I bought for home and it is of much better quality than the standard presses we brought back from Mexico. I use a heavy plastic bag to place the maseca in before it gets pressed to make clean up easier, but it seems to have a non stick finish. It was better than I expected it to be, and much better than the standard found in Mexico.

Thank goodness I used this press right away - so that I can process my refund as soon as possible! Handle broke only after a few tortillas... whatever metal they used was cheap (looked rusty on the break) and thin where the handle applies pressure...look for a better quality item!
