Chalky orange, non moisturising, but great longlasting protection
This is your chalky average mineral lipscreen with added tint. The overall colour is like a pastel orange chalk. Definately not the bright reddish coral in the advert. It would be nice on some adults with very pale skin. I'm a person of colour and the Tint looked much better than the plain white uvistat, like if I had put concealer on my lips - weird but ok. The plus side is I can use it to touch up the sunscreen on my face since it is very portable and small. The texture is not very moisturising or rich. If you get dry lips you will get white chalky crusty bits with this screen and it is not comfortable, not greasy but it is sticky. I will use it up but would not buy again. For kids the protection is great for a day at the beach. It will not budge easily and wil stay put for a long time. It is also an OK base for lipstick

Lip-screen SPF 50 5g
Having burnt my eye lids a few holidays ago I was given this amazing lip-screen SPF 50 5g to avoid that drama again. It comes like a lipstick so easy to take with you when out and about. I now put it on my eyelids and nose! (Nose always goes bright red) my nose doesn’t stand out like a beacon now. It’s a total block and once applied it’s not visible unlike other sunscreens that you can see. It’s the best sunscreen I’ve found and cover doesn’t stop at just the lips.

Smells good, tastes, good but not convinced
This comes as 2 individually packaged tubes inside a single box. On opening the smell of orange is strong and you can taste the flavour if you lick your lips after applying.Applying I thought they felt very rough, and it didnt roll on smoothly like others I have used leaving little lumps of the balm which I had to smooth in with my fingers. Overall it felt quite dry and I didnt find it hydrating in fact the opposite as my lips felt like they were drying out.The orange colour is good as it shows you have got it on but it also transfers to clothes and skin.I am not convinced these are the best option - others I have used have had a nicer feel to them and felt like they were absorbed into the lips better whilst still providing protection. Other coloured ones I have used have had a more natural colour which means they are suitable for more self conscious kids - these I think are best for toddlers.Lastly I found them a tad sticky and wonder if using them on the beach would result in lips with stuck on sand! All in all I am not a fan of these and wouldnt get them again

Arrived peppered with white blobs - cannot risk using
Review of: Uvistat Kids Sun Care Lipscreen | SPF50 | Moisturising Lip Balm for Kids | Prevent Dry and Chapped Lips | 2 TubesAs a cricket loving family sun protection is really important and lips often get forgotten! Uvistat is a brand that I have used before and been happy with so I looked forward to trying this product. Unfortunately it won’t be going anywhere near our lips!Upon opening one of the boxes I discovered that the lipscreen was peppered with small white blobs over the top surface and the sides. The second one was the same. I am aware that sometimes balms can separate or, indeed, weep, but this does not look pleasant and I would not use it on my child in case it is not innocuous. Even if innocuous, it makes me question how old this product is and how it has been stored to cause such degradation. Given the importance of the job it is designed to perform I would worry that the integrity of the product might have been affected and it might not work as an effective sunscreen. It was also noted that the sunscreen seems to “catch” on the casing when it is twisted up and down leading to a slightly messy top of the tube and cap.Based on the product received I cannot recommend this.ALTHOUGH I RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT FOR FREE VIA THE AMAZON "VINE" PROGRAMME, I VALUE MY INTEGRITY SO ALWAYS GIVE HONEST, UNBIASED OPINIONS.FOR ME:A 4* PRODUCT IS GOOD - It does everything it says it should.A 5* PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT – It does everything it should and MORE or PARTICULARLY WELL or is EXCELLENT VALUELOWER STAR RATINGS ARE GIVEN WHERE THERE IS A FLAW, A DESCRIPTION IS MISLEADING or THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE WHICH WILL BE CLEARLY STATED.

Not great
The only good thing about this lip balm is the sun protection, otherwise, I’d only recommend them if you want to have bright Orange lips! I know it’s designed for children but I don’t think my two sons will want bright Orange lips on holiday! You would also need to ensure your child likes the taste and smell of oranges too as that’s all I can taste and smell after applying a small amount to my lips.It doesn’t apply very smoothly and seems to leave loads of bits all over your lips too. It claims it’s moisturising but I don’t feel it is. My lips have been left quite dry.Having used other lipscreens and preferred them, this isn’t one I would recommend, unfortunately.

Handy compact SPF stick.
I love the concept of these little sticks, they are exceptionally handy for carrying around in your handbag to always have to hand when needed.I find them great for just not lips, but cheeks, noses and tips of ears, as you get better precision with the stick, higher protection for sun sensitive areas and the colour is an indicator it’s still on the area.I liked these came in individual boxes within the main box, it helps protect and keep them clean in the bottom of my bag. It applied well, it has a feel of lip balm, which is slightly greasy. The orange flavour and colouring does transfer to your body, so it might not be ideal for all the family. They carry a UVA rating of three stars, which I would have liked to have seen slightly higher on a children’s products but this still equates to good protection and I intend you use the balms in conjunction with other sun protection, such as hats, so will offer the protection I need. It’s difficult to test the effectiveness of the SPF, due to the current season but so far, so good in all other areas.
