defective
First, I am very happy with the size, weight, looks and performance of this laptop. Second, I've had it a week and I'm considering returning it because the fan has started ticking quite loud and it's not normal... have built many PC's since 1995, I recognize this to be an issue I will have to deal with soon. For 1800$ I'd expect something without issue. What do I do? Go through the headaches of purging this machine of my personal data and return it, or deal with a noisy fan that is going to fail and soon require a painful replacement, at least this route I won't have to nuke another win10 for privacy intrusions or have to gut a registry for return. I'm done buying over the counter crap, this is the first one i've purchased off the shelf since 1995 and a week in, im having regrets. DON'T BUY, build your own machines, or at least buy something manufactured with better parts.Took ya 25 years to entice me, ya finally got me... but I promise you, this is your one and only, you can eat the damages next time.

Would not regret!
Realy good looking powerful machine!-Screen is awesome-Sound is not bad, little bit flat, need more bass!-Battery sucks!-I have expext more from the video.-Processor fantastic-Tobi eye tracking is usefull for this laptop, because you gonna need to do the best, to save some power if it is not plugged in.-Alienware still got to work on cooling! I think you guys have to start using nitrogen!

Short battery life but awesome laptop
Battery life sucks, but overall awesome gaming laptop! I’m enjoying lots of games. I just keep it plugged in since it dies under 2hrs on battery.

Bad customer service
Bought this computer for my son’s birthdaydidn’t open it until his birthday a month after the actual purchase and the computer turn on ok but during the initial setup it turn off an never worked againCall Amazon and they didn't help Call Dell who owns the alienware brand didn’t helpCall Ashurion the insurance company they can only help after the Factory warranty expiresCall back dell they offer to repair it in 24 to 48 hours this was the best option at this point because they didn't want to exchange it for a new one now dell is telling me that the parts are not available and its going to take at least a mount to get themThis is not fair we pay a lot of money for this gaming laptop and is siting in my desk collecting dustBe aware before you buy from this company the customer service is horrible if you can get someHope you have better luck than i did

Came with broken graphics card
Got this new in December and right away the Nvidia graphics card was shot and blue screening the computer every 60 seconds. Which, upon doing some more in depth reading about the issue, is pretty common for this particular laptop. The rest of the computer works great; it's very fast and sleek and has decent memory. Just wished that it didn't come broken so we didn't have to jump through hoops and phonecalls to get it fixed. Super annoying working with the customer service reps. Impossible to reach through email, the only option is via phone.
